Ulterior Motives

Raquel walked through the palace gardens the next day looking like she didn’t have a care in the world. The truth was of course the exact opposite because today she was meeting Lady Diana.

For a garden tea party of all things.

It was quite different from what she had expected, but they needed to meet on neutral ground for Raquel’s plan to work. Thus, she had set up the meeting to be in one of the palace’s many gardens.

Soon, Raquel made her way to the gazebo where their meeting was being held. She quickly took a seat and sent one of the servants to fetch some refreshments. Lady Diana would be coming soon.

For now she would enjoy the view of the flowers and a special building in the distance. A servant came by and set up some refreshments before quickly hurrying away.

“Your highness.” A voice called out a few minutes later, bringing Raquel’s attention back to the present.
