“Understood, your highness.” Magaret resigned, realizing this was the best Ryker could do.

Happy that she understood the situation, Ryker headed back to the waiting servants. Hannah looked smug as she watched them return, clearly believing she had won.

However, Ryker's words instantly made her jaw drop. “Arrest Hannah for questioning and have both servants' rooms searched. This matter seems more than just a petty matter among servants.”

Ryker then turned to the rest of the servants. “As for everyone else, they may decide between a punishment of twenty lashes or three months of their salary docked.”

“Your-” One of the servants started but Ryker stopped him with a glare.

“Next time learn to follow a direct order.” Ryker muttered. “It's clear some of you know the truth and are still keeping quiet. So, now there'll be an internal investigation. Anyone who wishes to speak up may visit me at any time. Evidence will be rewarded.”
