Threaten

Krish's car stopped near Chang Xin, who was heading her way.

Krish got off and said, "Get in the car."

"I can walk!" Chang Xin refused, walking straight on her way.

He rushed to her and clenched her hand. Because of that, Chang Xin's sight was dragged towards Krish, failing to notice a depressed schoolgirl crossing the street alone on the busy road.

However, based on her confused expression, he must have noticed her.

"I said, I would drop you," Krish said, unknowingly his head covering that girl fully from her sight. Despite that, she moved his head with one hand effortlessly and looked at the road for her.

She got the busy road only.

Krish looked back only to find the busy road and nothing else other than that. "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing," Chang Xin replied shortly, and she walked straight.

"This is going to be dark soon; come with me." Krish forced her, dragging her towards his car without a second thought.

She shook off instantly and ran away before he turned and looked.

"Chang Xin!"

He shouted with exasperation.

At night, while Krish was pouring hot water into his drinking glass, Chang Xin jumped inside his room through the opened window.

"Stop right there!"

Krish's vehemently shaded comment froze her instantly before she even took the first step forward.

As she stood right there with pursing lips, Krish veered around, holding a water cup. She sensed there was a little madness sitting on his face.

Chang Xin pulled a guilty face and apologised, making puppy eyes. "Sorry, Papa told me not to burden someone for our comfort."

"Didn't your papa teach you not to barge into someone's room like this?"

Chang Xin gave an embarrassed smile as Krish put the cup aside after drinking. He then sat on his bed, covering the bedsheet, and went to sleep.

"Hoi!!" Chang Xin rushed to him and dragged the bedsheet off of him.

"What's the matter?" Krish questioned.

She shied, waving her body like a snake nervously, causing Krish's eyes to dribble in conflict.

"Tell me or leave. I have to go to sleep early."

His steady voice disheartened her. Nonetheless, she compressed herself into boldness and proclaimed, "I'm here to inform you of something."

"What's that?"

"Stop pushing me onto Geng Xi. I have no feelings for him." She said.

"Is that all?" he asked.

"Yes."

"Okay, let me sleep then." He dragged his blanket back, but he couldn't since she applied extra force to hold it back.

"What's the matter now?" Krish wrinkled his eyebrows at her.

"Say you will stop doing that." With a pitiful look on her face, she asked for a favour.

Raising a brow, Krish questioned, "So do you agree to be a loser?"

Chang Xin spared a few seconds to rethink her request, as if she spilled words without her knowledge.

"Are you okay with losing to me?" Krish brazed her inner thoughts.

So she struck her head to the left and right. "No!"

"Then let go of my blanket!" Krish pulled the blanket again. She released him, but regret had been rented her face even after he closed his eyes to sleep.

Suddenly, a door knob twirling sound caught their attention.

Krish rushed Chang Xin to hide under the bed.

Liu Yifei entered, asking, "Don't you sleep yet?"

Precipitating a nervous smile, Krish replied, "I was about to."

She came to him as he made up the bed.

"Krish,"

Her concerned voice caught Krish's lookout. Thereafter, she sat next to him as he arranged the pillows in order. Pulled and hugged his waist, embedding her face onto his stomach, she began her grouse.

"Why have you kept your distance from me recently? Am I not enough for your healing process?"

Chang Xin peeked under the bed and caught Krish's wrinkled eyebrows, which were hard enough to differentiate between worry and irritation.

Krish was dragged out of his stomach and calmly said, "Maybe."

"Say Yes! What do you mean by maybe?"Chang Xin frowned at Krish.

"What do you mean?" Liu Yifei seemed puzzled.

"I'm sleepy. Let me sleep." He said, throwing himself on the bed and pressed down Chang Xin's head in order to hide her from Liu Yifei.

Liu Yifei stood up, appearing to be mad at Krish, which failed to catch Chang Xin and Krish's attention.

Krish forced himself to sleep until Liu Yifei's feet crossed the exit. He then sat up and compelled Chang Xin to leave the room.

"Bye!" Chang Xin stomped her feet and headed towards the window.

"Go fast!" he waved his hand as she climbed out the window.

Twisting her tongue teasingly, she jumped out of the window.

At Fanqia's house, while she was doing her homework, her mother came there to offer her a drink. When she was about to turn to leave, she noticed Fanqia's pencil box had only one pencil.

"Where are your pencils? It has not been two weeks since I bought it. Where are those?" She rebuked, causing Fanqia to stammer without words.

"M-mom..." She trailed, struggling to find reason, and at last, she framed a lie: "I-i. I lost them, Mom."

"Lost? How can you be careless enough to lose all of the pencil?"

Her mother bellowed and breathed heavily. Spotting Fanqia's eyes rolling here and there unsteadily, her mother seemed to find the reason behind the excuse.

"Did you lend your pencils to that cheap girl again?"

Her mother's declaration put her heart to bound fast. Despite that, she contrived, "No, mom. I'm telling the truth. I lost them accidentally."

"I will talk to your teacher tomorrow." Her mother assured her before vacating her room, leaving Fanqia on the edge of the knife.

Chang Xin peeked at Krish's room again, asking, "Aren't you going to drop me now?"

"Leave first! Otherwise, I'll kiss you till dawn!" He roared.

Instantly, she jumped out of the window.
