The next morning Ken was up in the morning training his martial arts as usual but his mind was elsewhere where ken was wondering what the main motivator for the choices in our cultivation techniques choice.

Last night Ken and the redhead got to know each other better in a non-intimate way as they exchanged their life stories and views. The redhead told him her story of being born into a small mortal martial clan that emphasized being strong and heavily favored male children and that left her and all the females to be looked at as inferior and who didn't have any value to add to the clan other than to marry to strong men to expand the family.

She grew up seeing this playout and her helplessness in changing the thing in front of her or having any say in her own life so she developed a mindset of 

HATE.

Love runs out. Love is more gratifying, and feels smoother. Sweeter. Makes the world seem fuzzy and peach-toned.

Hate on the other hand…. Hate is what keeps you warm at night when your love has run dry. Hate is what keeps you going through all the pain and decay. Hate is far more powerful than you think. Hate gives you strength, and grants you power beyond power. When your teeth clench, and you're muscles tear because of your raw, palpable anger, Hate is there to make it stronger, push you past your limits, numb your appendages, and cloud your mind with a warm red mist that always leads to light then darkness.

Love? Love makes you weak. Frail. Undisciplined. Reliant on others. Love will betray you. Love will burn you. Love will sting you and keep stinging you. Hate is born of love to keep you alive when your love has abandoned you. When you are crying and shaking alone on the floor of your shower, and the hot water has long run out, Hate is what is keeping you warm.

Hate is what is keeping you alive. Hate is what feeds you when you starve yourself out of shame for losing your love. Hate is everything. Hate is the beginning. Hate is the end. Hate is in the middle. And Hate is the lance with which you strike down the bringer of it.

Hate is more powerful than weakling insignificant love. Hate is your one True Love.

Ken didn't entirely agree or disagree with her ideology as he could understand her upbringing but the real truth didn't care about your circumstances. She and her group may have an idea that they must dominate the power dynamics of relationships but that idea had faults as the place they grew up in. 

She thinks that the world must be that way because he has seen the world as much more complicated where there are no clear good and bad. He asked her these questions to find where she was coming from as this could help him understand more about the complicated phenomenon called relationship and the dual Dao.

There was another thought in his mind. Ken was thinking about the techniques of the sects. 

The more he saw the derivatives of the big inheritance the more he got confused on the one hand there are depraved and seduction techniques that have no regard for the choice the partner but on the other hand there are charm and intimacy techniques.

Seduction techniques are techniques that use body language, speech and aura to deceive the mind that it is attracted to the practitioner and help the practitioner set a path to form a bond using the depraved techniques.

Depraved technique are techniques created to form a forceful bond between the cultivator and her partner because seduction techniques might fool the conscious mind but the unconscious mind of a cultivator gets as they becomes stronger so it used to subdue the unconscious mind.

This are mostly used by the demonic cultivators and he understood there point of view as usually only 40 percent of mortal reproduce and successfully continue their lineage as they already had one advantage from birth by luck.

Demonic cultivator's mindset come from the remaining 60 percent which aren't usually chosen for many reasons be it looks, status and strength so they had to resort to forceful means to reproduce which usually was done through rape.
