Long Chen's mind was filled with questions and curiosity about the mysteries surrounding his reincarnation and the presence of the great beasts of chaos within him. Long Chen sat up on his bed.
He looked at the long silvery hair, that stretched to the floor.
"This is a problem," Long Chen said as he waved his hands.
A strand of white qi appears in his hand like a small sword, Long Chen uses it to cut the hair.
What shocked him was that, even though the hair felt soft and moist, the moment he tried to cut it, they were as firm as rock.
"What?" Long Chen said himself.
He tried and tried again but it was still the same result, tired, he left his room and headed to his mother's courtyard
Following the memories of his present life, he came to a shabby-looking courtyard that seemed devoid of life and colour.
As he entered, he saw his mother sitting on a wooden chair by the window looking at the sky.
"Mother" Long Chen said softly as approached her.
"Chen'er, come and join me" Long Yao said patting the chair next to her.
Long Chen moved towards her and he sat at the chair.
"I know you left the compound," Long Yao said as she started a conversation.
Long Chen wasn't surprised, it is not that he did it secretly.
"I know you want to roam freely like the wind and explore the world. But I want you to always be careful, some people will want to harm you" Long Yao said with a serious expression."
"Why do you say so Mother?", Long Chen asked.
"You don't need to know, knowing too much will make you get hurt, all need to know is that don't tell anyone your identity"
"Okay, Mother" Long Chen agreed, even though he was confused about his mother's paranoid expression.
"Take this," Long Yao said as she passed Long Chen a black box.
Long Chen took it without knowing its content. As he opened it, he saw a silver-blue pill brimming with energy.
"This is a frost fire pill, it is a good pill for cultivation and it helps to strengthen the body" Long Yao said.
Looking at the pill, Long Chen looked at her with a surprised gaze. With his memories, he knew the pill.
He finds it hard to believe his mother will have it.
The pill was named after a frostfire dragon. It is made from the blood of a frost-fired dragon. It serves as both a breakthrough pill and a healing pill.
"This will help you in your journey of cultivation," Long Yao said.
"And this" Long Yao said as she gave him another small box.
"There is a blood pill there, this one serves as a nourishing pill," Long Yao said.
"Thank you mother" Long Chen said as he stretched his hands to accept it when his gaze fell on her hands.
He saw 5 silver stars like Mark on her hands.
"He thought his mother had an affinity with stars that is why she always wears a star necklace on her but looking at the star mark on her hand he grew more suspicious.
"Mother, what is this?" Long Chen asked.
She quickly covered her hands with her robe.
"Nothing much Chen'er," She said avoiding his inquiry gaze.
"Mother, you said I should hide your identity as my mother, and now you are still keeping it secret from me. Is there something you are not saying?" Long Chen asked.
"Chen'er, you know I will protect you at all costs. Knowing too much will do more harm than good" Long Yao said as she gently touched his face.
"Mother, I am a man. I can't always be in your protection, is there anything I should know?" Long Chen asked.
