Rays Of Hope!!

The tension in the air was palpable as Isobel's voice broke through the commotion, her concern evident. Harry and Amara exchanged a glance, both still reeling from the close call. Harry took a deep breath, steadying himself before responding to Isobel's question.

"It was a close call, but we're both okay," Harry reassured Isobel, placing a comforting hand on Amara's shoulder. "Amara managed to push me out of harm's way just in time."

Isobel's expression softened with relief as she took in the situation. "Thank goodness you're both alright," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "We need to be more careful, especially with all the renovation work going on."

Amara nodded, her heart still racing from the adrenaline rush. "Are you.... alright?" she asked concerned, squeezing her father's hand.

He nodded, caressing her hair, reassuringly.

The staff responsible for the mess soon reached them, apologizing with a bow.

Amara sighed, trying to keep her cool, "It is a hospital you are all working in, you people are getting paid for your alertness as well!!"

"We know, we feel sorry for it, mam. It never happened this way before, we don't know how did it...even ....." The man stuttered.

"It's...okay for there's no harm now, the next time, please take care, else I will reconsider your jobs!!" She warned them, "Make sure to pull out such works in the least crowded hours, take the night shifts. It will not only create a mess in the hospital but will also ruin the reputation of the hospital as well the comfortability of patients!!"

They gave an assuring nod while Harry patted on her shoulder again. "Please clean this!!" He said to the staff before turning to his wife. "Let us leave?!"

Isobel gave a slight nod still trying to digest the incident.

Harry pinched Amara's chin trying to lighten the situation for which she smiled, "Will you be driving again, little demon?!"

She chuckled, "Yes, I will!!" she said with a smile.

However, Harry's gaze flickered with a sudden witness of her eyes glistening in green for a second before turning back to black.

Amara with smile departed them taking all her belongings as well as her father's, going out to bring the car.

Harry however was left dumbfounded. Did he imagine that or....it really happened?!

"What happened?!" Isobel who noticed him being silent, questioned.

Harry gave an unfocused shake of head, "Nothing!"

Isobel shrugged, "She might be waiting for us, come!!" she said heading towards the exit. Still somehow struggling with her files.

Harry felt it difficult to dissolve the vision into his imagination, is she....

With a sigh, he decided to push the thought away for now, knowing after doing everything possible within their hands, he can do nothing more except wishing for everything good on his daughter's way.

As he headed towards the car, the entire ride, he watched his daughter who was busy looking ahead the view, driving. He tried to notice if there were any other changes in her, however, it seemed normal and nothing more, which somehow relieved him.

When the car took a halt, he looked at his surroundings, realising they didn't reach home yet.

"Are we eating out again?!" Isobel asked.

Amara winked, "Someone is waiting for us!!" she said surprising them.

That wondered them, despite asking whom are they gonna meet, Amara showed her ignorance towards it the entire time they got in into the restaurant.

"Surprise!!!" Sarah screamed excited as she rushed towards her aunt and uncle, hugging her aunt as soon as they entered the reserved cabin.

Isobel and Harry were surprised to see both Sarah and Ralph present, Isobel caressing Sarah's hair, planting a soft kiss against her forehead.

"Such a long time, how have you been my child?!" Isobel asked concerned.

Sarah shook her head, "Just like you, fit and fine!!"

Isobel chuckled, "You look pale!!" she complained.

"Do not worry, your niece is absolutely fine!!" Sarah reassured as they all settled into their seats. Sarah then greeted her uncle, for which the man smiled softly, patting her head.

Ralph as well greeted Amara's parents.

Amara pretentiously scoffed, "Hope you both like the surprise!!" coughing twice.

Isobel chuckled while Harry shook his head, "It's a pleasant surprise indeed!!" he said with a wide smile.

Sarah, Ralph and Amara, raised their glasses in cheers, "Advance Happy Anniversary!!!" voicing in unison.

The couple laughed, cheering back their wine glasses.

Amara choose to drink less for she needs to drive back while Sarah did the same.

They all enjoyed the small party they arranged for themselves.

Amara, cherished the moment as if this were the last!! Her eyes glistening in the glow of contentment.

After a peaceful time spent with a lot of chatter and laughter, and a few giggles, they all departed from each other, to their own homes.

As Amara parked the car, her parents got off. Isobel went to pick up her files however Amara resisted, suggesting she would bring them, telling her to just rest. As her parents got into the house, she took the files, locking the car. With a sigh, she leaned against the car, looking up the sky that unfolded it's darkness.

"You didn't say me that you also have the ability of invisibility!" She calmly complained.

Zamiel taking off the cloak of invisibility, standing beside, as well looked up the sky, "You sensed me again!!"

"I can't resist your scent!!" She said with a shrug, "Anyway, thank you!" She looked down at him, "For saving me!"

She wasn't drunk much, however, the slight blush of drunkenness still managed to take over her face, her cheeks turning red.

Zamiel smiled watching her, "You are welcome!"

"Also, thank you for spending your entire day by being around with me." She said with a chuckle.

"And...."

"And, what else?!" He asked with a hiss.

"For everything, thank you!!" She whispered.

Zamiel turned to face her while now she looked straight into his eyes.

"I don't know what happens tomorrow, but, whatever it is, I'll gladly try to accept it! And for all that you've done till now, thank you so much!"

He breathed, "What if I say you I've intentions which you aren't acknowledged about yet?!"

She looked confused, despite already expecting about him definitely having at least intentions behind the help, it wondered her. "I believe they are not at all harmful."

He leaned in closer, "What if they are indeed harmful?"

She breathed, "I'll try not to blame the God for giving me such blessing!!"

Zamiel smiled, leaning in much closer.

Her heart skipping a beat again as he neared her, "Goodnight, Amara!" he whispered in her ear as she shut her eyes. His deep voice echoed within her, having him disappeared as soon as she shot her eyes open.

She looked down, tucking her hair strands behind the ear, his actions always taking her aback.

"What intentions do you have, Zamiel?!" She questioned herself.

Amara breathed, deciding to just get into the house.

She watched her parents sleeping peacefully. A doubt with a mixture of concern and fear swirling in her belly, will she see them this way till the end of her life? Will she make it tomorrow?!

She stood there for some more time before with a sigh closing the door slowly.

Harry who shot his eyes open, wondered why is his daughter behaving strange. Why did she come, then leave without saying anything?

He still couldn't forget the scene he saw in the hospital, now she is here, watching them in silence.

What was happening to her?

Harry felt a deep sensation of worry within as he assumed his daughter suffering something unknown and hidden.

Did she realise her change yet or....it was just a coincidence?

************

Amara sat on her bed, holding the paper, she received from Zamiel. The reason behind her contentment.

She doesn't know what it is and how it works! However, it's this why all happened!

Yes, she is worried about tomorrow, the fear of losing everything all over again, constantly reminding her to be alert.

Yet, she also felt that gratitude surging through her veins, for the gift, for the necklace, for the paper, and, for the immortal!!

"You've brighten my sorrowful life with your presence!" She said caressing the paper, "From the bottom of my heart, I thank you!!"

She expressed her gratitude wholeheartedly.

However, the paper glistened in gold suddenly. Surprising her.

Is it again going to show something?

If yes....., then she secretly wished for something good.

'YOU ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME...'

Those letters, as soon as she read it, Amara couldn't comprehend it. Was it precisely saying, tomorrow is the last day?!

"I know," Amara accepted with a deep breath, "tomorrow....is my last day!"

The golden letters disappeared soon, giving chance for the next ones.

'THE TIME WHICH MADE YOU SUFFER WILL AGAIN BECOME THE END OF EVERYTHING...!'

This one was even more difficult to understand, "What.... are you trying to say?!"

'THE TIME WHICH WAS THE END OF YOUR EVERYTHING WILL AGAIN BE THE END OF EVERYTHING.....!' It rephrased the statement.

Amara however, couldn't understand anything! "I don't....." Even before she could utter any more, those letters disappeared, the paper showcasing itself blank.

Amara tapped the paper, strangely even dusted the paper, but there was no change. She sighed defeated, she can see no more from this now.

Her mind raced with thoughts that tried to break the code. What did she read and what did they mean?!

Did she do any wrong by choosing to open this again?!

With a shook she rested against the bedwall, she just wanted to express her gratitude, and, she did.

She neither knew what does the showed statements mean.

Yet, she hope the God will not do any injustice in her life again!!

Cause Zamiel said, there was nothing wrong in what she was expecting, and, she choose to believe it!!

Amara motivated herself, hoping for a better, and great day ahead.

A.... beautiful life, ahead!!
