Arrival at the Five-Finger Mountain

"Hehe, Father is the best!" Chang Le was exceptionally joyful, her mood brightening as she playfully smiled.

With such care, Li You's position in her heart was evidently high, causing Li Shimin to feel a slight jealousy. His eyes narrowed gradually as he made a firm decision – he must strictly control Princess Chang Le's movements; otherwise, his position would inevitably be shaken!

"Mr. Li, today's discussion is well noted. I will take Lizhi back now," Li Shimin said thoughtfully.

Li You nodded, "Alright, I won't send you off. Your Majesty, take care."

Li Shimin nodded slightly and left with Chang Le.

It was not appropriate to reveal too much to him at the moment. Otherwise, it may backfire.

If all the facts and the reality were disclosed, he might not be able to accept such a large amount of information and might not believe it. Therefore, the best approach now was to let Li Shimin go back, settle down, and then show him some substantial things.

However, it's time to add fuel to the fire!

"Your Majesty, I'm curious. If one day the immortals appear and demand you to relinquish the throne, how would you respond?"

As Li Shimin walked towards the door, he suddenly paused, then continued walking as if nothing had happened. Li You used a voice transmission method to convey this message, so no one else but Li Shimin heard it.

Li Shimin, the renowned Emperor Taizong, was quick to conceal his unusual reaction. He didn't let the people around him, especially Chang Le, notice anything.

As he walked out of the courtyard, Chang Le looked furtive, quickly turning her head back and winking. Li You knew she was conveying a secret signal; she would come again in a few days.

He smiled and looked at her. He indeed liked this little girl very much, and he treated her as if she were his own sister. Chang Le was a likable and clever girl, understanding people well. When he was troubled by certain matters, Chang Le often found ways to cheer him up.

He came from the 21st century and had lived in this world for several hundred years. Although he found these tricks childish, they were thoughtful and heartwarming.

In both his past life and this one, he had lived a lonely existence. It was rare to enjoy the care of others.

Li Shimin was aware of Chang Le's little tricks, but he had no intention of thinking about them now. Li You's voice transmission held profound meaning. As an emperor, managing people's hearts and playing with words were routine. He understood the significance behind Li You's words, and his heart felt heavy.

In this world, the appearance of immortals was quite normal. Li Shimin was an ambitious emperor, and he understood that he had to do something. Given the opportunity, he wouldn't settle for being just a founding emperor!

Aparagodaniya, Spirit Mountain, Mahavira Hall.

The Buddha, sitting atop a golden lotus, was meditating with closed eyes, transcending the Three Realms with his spirit. Suddenly, his eyebrows raised as if he had realized something.

He had just sensed a slight disturbance in the fortune of Buddhism. Although it was just a trace, it couldn't escape the perception of this supreme cultivator who held the highest level of supernatural powers in the entire Three Realms.

This slight change, even for someone of his caliber, couldn't be taken lightly. He understood that many things occurred either zero or countless times. With this beginning, future variables would be countless, leading to endless troubles.

Any potential harm to Buddhism, even if it was just a possibility, had to be completely eradicated for peace of mind!

"Bodhisattva Wisdom, Bodhisattva Virtue, both of you..."

Heaven, Cloud Palace.

Jade Emperor frowned, a worried expression on his face.

"I didn't expect the impact of Buddhism's eastward spread to be so significant. That monk’s journey has just begun, and it has already caused a slight decline in the fortune of our Heaven. This is not a good sign."

Jade Emperor thought to himself.

Immediately, he made a decisive and pleasant decision.

"Order Thousand-Mile Eye and Wind- Accompanying Ear to keep a close eye on Tang Monk's progress and regularly report to me!"

The far-reaching influence of Buddhism's eastward spread had made Jade Emperor feel threatened.

The journey to the West had just begun, not even a day had passed (one day in heaven equaled one year on earth), and the fortune of the Heaven had already been affected. If it concluded successfully, with Buddhism's eastward spread achieving great success, what enormous calamities would befall the Heaven?

The Heaven represented the face of the Daoist sect. If it were to decline under their control, the scene would be too terrible to be imagined; Jade Emperor expressed his reluctance to even think about it. Could he still face the Supreme Lord with any dignity?

Jade Emperor was initially just a disciple of Hong Jun. Sheltered for countless years by the Dao Ancestor, even his identity as the Heavenly Emperor and his current strength were bestowed by Hong Jun. Hong Jun had granted him everything benevolently.

When he complained about the insufficient “manpower” in the Heaven, Hong Jun initiated the investiture of the Gods, which ultimately sacrificed numerous immortal Gods in the battle. These Gods were then enlisted under his command for his use.

If, despite all this, the Daoist sect were to be defeated, how would Jade Emperor face himself? He already lacked dignity; if such a thing happened, he might never be able to raise his head again for thousands of years.

Thinking about this, a cold and stern chill appeared in Jade Emperor's eyes. Action must be taken!

After Tang Monk was sent away by Great White Golden Star, he found himself in a desolate place—Shuangcha Ridge. This was the lair of tigers and wolves, with rugged mountain paths and frequent appearances of venomous snakes and fierce beasts.

Alone with his white horse, traversing the Yellow Mountains, Tang Monk soon found himself surrounded by poisonous snakes and beasts in the mountains, helpless against them. (Li You didn't taught him about how to deal with this...)

Various poisonous creatures entwined around him, making him nauseous. Looking at it made one's skin crawl. The nature of this tough and sturdy Tang Monk, the iron man, was exposed.

Surrounded with no way out, Tang Monk could only endure the nausea caused by the poisonous creatures and shouted loudly for help in the deserted jungle.

As Mr. Li had said, when there was no other way, shout for help! To accomplish great things, staying alive was the fundamental prerequisite!

Not long after, Tang Monk was rescued by a kind-hearted hunter who happened to pass by.

Liu Boqin, the Guardian of the Mountain.

The two returned to Liu Boqin's home, and as in the original plot, Tang Monk chanted scriptures to help Liu Boqin's deceased father. After a day, Liu Boqin's father appeared in a dream to express that he had transcended. Grateful, Liu Boqin personally accompanied Tang Monk on his journey to a legendary place.

Two-Realm Mountain, also known as the Five-Finger Mountain!
