Originally Intended to Compose Poetry on the World

Two-Realm Mountain, also known as the Five-Finger Mountain, descended from the heavens during the usurpation of the Han Dynasty by Wang Mang. Underneath the mountain, it suppressed a "Monkey Demon" imprisoned by the Buddha for causing chaos in the Heaven.

Five hundred years later, today, Tang Monk arrived here under the protection of Liu Boqin. It was a destined encounter. Between one man and one monkey, their fates were bound together, destined for constant entanglement, like intertwined threads.

After arriving, Liu Boqin bade Tang Monk fare well and went back home. Tang Monk had just taken a few steps when he encountered an old man.

"Elder, may I ask what place this is?" Tang Monk was a bit confused; he just wanted to do strength training .

The old man smiled, "Elder, this is Two-Realm Mountain, also known as the Five-Finger Mountain."

Tang Monk was taken aback.

Thinking Tang Monk was unaware of the legend here, the old man continued, "This Five-Finger Mountain is extraordinary. Legend has it that Monkey King, Sun Wukong, who caused a great disturbance in the Heaven, was suppressed by the Buddha here under this Five-Finger Mountain."

However, Tang Monk's expression was strange, completely unaware of what the old man had said.

Thinking Tang Monk was shocked, the old man continued tirelessly, "Here, according to legends..."

Is this the Five-Finger Mountain, the place Mr. Li talked about? Finally, I’m here!

Ignoring the chattering old man in front of him, Tang Monk walked solemnly towards the foot of the Five-Finger Mountain.

At the foot of the Five-Finger Mountain, Tang Monk saw a monkey head.

The vast Five-Finger Mountain pressed down on him, leaving only a small hole for the monkey's head to peek out. Dry leaves and mud covered the monkey's head, and it lived on rain and dew.

The monkey's head was dirty, and if one didn't know, they might think it was a beggar from somewhere.

In fact, over the past five hundred years, this monkey was worse off than a beggar. Pressed under the immense Five-Finger Mountain, unable to move for five hundred years, only its head could move slightly.

The Five-Finger Mountain was usually devoid of any signs of life, a desolate area where even birds and beasts were unwilling to come.

Sun Wukong, who bore aspirations higher than the heavens, found it unbearable long ago. The anger in his heart wanted to pierce through the heavens.

However, the function of the Five-Finger Mountain was not just suppression; the intention of the Buddha was not so simple.

The golden plaque posted on the mountain exuded a Buddhist atmosphere at all times, quietly honing Sun Wukong's will between breaths.

"Monkey, why are you here?" Tang Monk, arriving in front of the monkey, knowingly asked.

Sun Wukong's battered head turned with difficulty. "Hey! Who are you?"

"I, Sun Wukong, caused a great disturbance in the Heaven five hundred years ago. Now, I'm suppressed under this Five-Finger Mountain."

Tang Monk smiled, "I have come from the Tang Empire in the East and am heading to the Western Heaven for scriptures."

Sun Wukong suddenly burst into joy, excited and unable to restrain himself. His monkey face squeezed together.

The dilapidation from being suppressed for five hundred years disappeared instantly. "Master! Master!"

"We've never met before, so why address each other as master and disciple?"

"I, a humble monk, cannot bear the name of the Master of a Great Sage!"

Tang Monk stared at Sun Wukong, as if expecting something.

Hearing Tang Monk's words, Sun Wukong became extremely anxious and hastily said incoherently, "No, no! I am now your disciple! Five hundred years ago, I wreaked havoc in the Heaven, made the heavens and earth turn upside down, and then Jade Emperor invited the Buddha from the Western Heaven. He suppressed me under this Five-Finger Mountain to reflect on my actions."

"A few days ago, Bodhisattva Guanyin came here and told me that there would be a monk from the Eastern Tang Empire coming on the journey for scriptures. This monk would be my master, and I should become his disciple, protect him on the journey to the Western Heaven, and then, I will be released from under this Five-Finger Mountain!"

Sun Wukong spoke extremely quickly, very chaotic, afraid that if he spoke too slowly, Tang Monk would leave.

In Tang Monk's heart, everything was clear. Mr. Li had predicted this again; he was indeed a person with vast knowledge, knowing everything without leaving his home!

Actually, if Tang Monk had watched the TV series, he could also have done it...

"I see. Bodhisattva Guanyin also told me that there would be a few disciples waiting for me on the journey."

Sun Wukong was very eager, "Yes, yes! Bodhisattva asked me to protect you on the journey for scriptures, which will help me cleanse my sins and make amends for my past deeds."

However, he didn't realize that it was the Buddha, the Lord of Buddhism, who had suppressed him for five hundred years. After five hundred years, the Buddhist sect released him to work for them, doing labor, yet he was expected to be grateful to the Buddhist sect!

Ha! The so-called Buddhist sect!

Unfortunately, the current Sun Wukong was unaware of all this. Now, he had completely cast aside all grievances and debts with the Buddhist sect. His mind was filled only with a longing for freedom and an aspiration towards the sky.

This was also the effect of the golden plaque left by the Buddha on the Five-Finger Mountain, combined with the calculations on the journey for scriptures later on, which would inevitably turn Sun Wukong into a complete servant of the Buddhist sect. The whole plan was brilliant.

Tang Monk nodded and asked Sun Wukong, "So, how can I release you?"

The monkey was overjoyed, and his body couldn't help but tremble.

"Master, you just need to climb the high mountain and peel off the golden plaque left by the Buddha. Then, I, Sun Wukong, will naturally be able to get out!" Even his speech was trembling uncontrollably.

After Tang Monk learned the method, he turned to look at the mountaintop.

Then, in Sun Wukong's stunned gaze, Tang Monk took off his upper garment, revealing a sturdy physique. He removed the Five-Buddha Crown, and his bald head glistened in the sunlight.

Looking at Tang Monk like this, Sun Wukong couldn't help but feel somewhat impressed by his master. What a hero!

Tang Monk's arms bulged with strong blue veins, and his hands swiftly reached out like lightning, grabbing a protruding rock. His whole body moved like an agile monkey, rapidly shifting towards the top of the mountain.

His movements were nimble and agile, extremely skillful, leaving Sun Wukong in awe.

This master wasn't as useless as he thought; he still had some strength!

Sun Wukong speculated, "I guess Bodhisattva Guanyin asked me to accompany you for protection because she was afraid we might encounter monsters with cultivation along the way?" Considering Tang Monk's performance, ordinary people probably couldn't get close to him, even with a dozen of them.

In no time, Tang Monk effortlessly reached the mountaintop.

With his upper body exposed on the mountaintop, Tang Monk's breath remained steady, and ascending the mountain at such a fast pace didn't seem to burden him.

Looking down from the summit, everything appeared so tiny. Standing here felt like being at the peak of the world, and Tang Monk suddenly gained many insights. His state of mind underwent a new experience, providing a different understanding of the chaotic world. At this moment, he couldn't help but want to compose a poem.

If he hadn't met Mr. Li, what would his life be like? What kind of person would he be? But now, with Mr. Li's guidance, his entire life and personality had changed. He was no longer the person he used to be.

In this situation, he couldn't help but feel a sense of heroism, and his emotions surged.

Originally, he wanted to compose poetry on the world, but alas, he lacked education!

"Master! Master! Have you reached there yet?!"
