Humans' Limits

Back in New City, in an office, in a heavy atmosphere different from the light-hearted one between the brothers, Estrella frowned.

Estrella frowned, but she didn't frown because of Mountain being in seclusion, nor did she frown for failing to see Erick when their aircraft landed in New City. She didn't frown for either of those two reasons, but for a different one entirely, and that reason caused Hannah, who was also in the office, to be unable to raise her head.

At first, Hannah had not noticed anything, and it had taken Estrella pointing things out for her to have her expression changed into a worried and uncertain one, making her lower her head.

In the somewhat tense silence, Hannah went through the files Estrella had checked about the working of the city in their absence, her heart skipping a beat at each new document forwarded to her about discrepancies that had been noticed.
