Humans' Limits 0375- No father, no son

Lucas looked deep into the blue eyes, seeing not Erick, but Christina.

Even till her last breath, she had that softness in her eyes, but her son with him did not have that. Only dark bitterness, resentment, hatred, and defiance.

The lightning flickering on Lucas' body seemed to calm down, as his mind went back to the crater he had left less than five minutes ago. It went to what had been there before it was erased, before the crater was dug.

Lucas raised his head, and he closed his eyes. He thought about his father, with his smile and his sparse hair, his mother, with her white hair, and her gentle but stern smile, his brother, with his broad smile and his eye-rolls.

Lucas smiled softly, and opened his eyes as Christina's smiles flashed past his mind, whether soft, gentle, shy, amused, happy. He lowered his head and looked at Erick.

His son was battered, and had he been any weaker, he would have already been on the way to breathing his last.
