Chapter 14: To Live With Honor and Die With Glory

With a small gun, he used for hunting, his hand trembling as he pointed it at his head. "well i guess this the end for me but fuck, what was that, i never got to achieve all my dreams or wait i did achieve one well i thought i did at least i'm the first man to date a spider monster as if she was just fattening up livestock, well i guess this the end for me better i die now by my hand than with by those fuckers," he whispered, ready to end it all.

He pulled the trigger, a loud gunshot rang out in the forest as Ethan felt a sharp pain in his head and slumped against the rock, his life slipping away.

In that moment, a blue screen appeared before him, shimmering in the air:

A portal opened, swallowing Ethan before he could process what was happening. As he vanished, he saw the faint figure of Cassandra and Derrick.

Cassandra and Derrick appeared where Ethan had vanished. Cassandra frowned at the drops of blood on the stone pillar.

"We've got to go. Those guys are coming anytime now," Derrick said, urgency in his voice.

Cassandra just frowned then said nothing as she spoke a long tongue appearing between her lips. then she and derrick turned to mist and disapeared.

Two Minutes Later...

A shadowy figure stood in the forest, barking orders. "I want him found at all costs! Check every nook and cranny, and put soldiers and guys from the mysticism department around that forest. If he's alive, I want to see him. If he's dead, I want to see his corpse."

The men around him responded in unison, "Yes, sir."
