"Would it actually work?" I asked, looking at the two men with hope.
"It's not the worst plan in the world," shrugged Damien, his nose wrinkling slightly. "And as much as it goes against everything inside of me, putting you in danger like this, I understand that you need to do this."
"Besides, if it doesn't work, you have us on the outside ready to go in at a moment's notice," continued Lucien with a smirk on his face.
While he might have a smile on his face, I could see the tension in the corner of his eyes as he studied my face.
Although I appreciated what he was trying to do and say, I still had to scoff at his statement. "Hardly," I laughed. "The others would need to come up with a plan first before they would go to a government facility to rescue me."
"Maybe for Paul," disagreed Lucien. "But for you? They'd go in, guns blazing."
