I started hyperventilating and quickly got of the bike.
I took a couple of steps and fumbled.
"Woah! You okay?!" Arslan finally noticed.
He came by my side and lowered himself to my level. I was on my knees.
He placed his hand on my back and started rubbing circles around it.
I took some breaths and finally calmed down.
I raised my head to meet his eyes.
"Can you please just tell me when you're gonna do that?!" I said my voice cracking.
"Do - what?" He looked incredulous.
"Take the sky breaker into the air!" I shouted, a little demonic.
"Oh? Flying you mean?!" He spoke in that incredibly cultish accent.
"Uh-huh…" I clapped back.
"Are you actually afraid of heights or something?!"
"Very much so, yes…" my deadpan nature cackled a laugh out of him. Dread washed over me.
"I'm sorry - I'm sorry," he placed his hand out trying to apologize.
"It's okay - I need to work on that anyway," I said almost crying.
He stopped laughing and took a look at me. I must have looked like a wet cat or something.
"Honey - baby - my love," he said all of a sudden.
"Have you never been on an airship?" He continued.
I blinked.
"I have my own…" he mumbled like he regretted his words.
"I shouldn't have said that -" he said out loud.
I blinked again.
"You have your own airship!?" I was genuinely impressed.
"Well - yeah - the guild has one - but I'm the one driving it most of the time," he said with a small chuckle.
"I bet I could totally fly on an airship, flying off the ground like that just gave me a little vertigo that's all,"
"Oh you're so cute = " he said babying me.
I couldn't help but dry chuckle. He followed suite.
"I promise I'll give you a heads up before I do that again," he said caressing my face with his hand. His hands were clammy, his skin was hot.
He lingered and I pushed against it with my face, closing my eyes.
We lingered.
I took his hand from my face, and massages his calluses.
He just stared a me a moment.
I looked at him for a moment and noticed he looked confused. Was this normal for husbands/inamorato's.
"You're hands are cold," he mentioned.
