Before me stands Elias, and without any coherent or congruent thought, I rush him in a hug.
And I squeeze so tight, I fear he'd break apart.
Had he not been built like metal.
I finally force myself to let go, and I pour out my heart.
"Elias, what are you doing here? Darius is just upstairs, he could be back at any minute."
He smiles, and stares at me.
"What did I ever do to deserve such a beautiful mate."
I pause, and flush.
Then I shake my head.
"Elias, this isn't a joking matter, Darius..."
"Follow me." He places his hand on mine, and pulls me off the counter.
I don't know what is going on, but, I don't want to question it.
I follow him through the crowd of dancing wolves, till we reach a different flight of stairs, located on the right of the hall this time.
We head up, and he keeps oace with me, not running up too fast or too slow.
