Chapter 62: The Truth Is Elusive

The demon and the flames all sink and vanish into a stream laden with rocks, and within, a sheen that reflects the sun's light.

I stop screaming and I swallow an enormous gulp of air.

when I come to, I find Elias clutching onto me, and I hear a muffled calling above the pain in my head.

But within a second, his words become coherent and the pain in my head subsides.

"Abigail, Abigail what's the matter?" I look into his eyes, mine devoid of life, when I push him away, and get off the bed frantically.

With the strength of a mosquito.

"Abigail."

"What was that!?" I scream at Elias, pointing at the canvas.

"Abigail you need to calm down."

"What was that Elias!? What did you do to me!?" As I speak, my thoughts drift back and forth to the stream, the stream.

I know that stream.

I open my eyes, and I find myself on the floor, Elias holding onto me.
