Chapter 134: A Loss And A Prospect

The challenge had begun and I don't know if I should be watching out for would-be attackers or if I should be watching out for golden-haired attackers.

"Give me the flag." Caroline tries to pull the flag from my hands, but I shift away just before.

"Why? Not like I can just run away with it or something." I retort.

"Don't want to put it past you." She tries again, but I pull it up.

"Why are you accusing me? Last I remembered, I didn't push you on a race track."

"Don't blame me for falling on your own."

"Are you serious?"

A sensation sweeps across my hand and before I know it, the flag slides out my fingers.

I gasp, then I turn around to find a Luna, climbed on top of the maze wall, and smiling at me with my flag in hand.

She leaps back before we are given time to react.

"Oh my God, did we just lose?"

I don't respond to her, I'm still trying to process what just happened.

"This is your fault!"
