Chapter 138: An End

"Elias." I call out, finding my voice to be weak, but he doesn't respond.

The expression on his face speaks of a sadness as vast as the ocean.

And I'm about to greatly expand this ocean with what I have to tell him.

The darkness surrounding us dissolves into light and the light transforms into a forest, with some of the most beautiful and lush plant life I've ever seen.

Calm and gentle winds caress my skin, birds chirp in the distance and I hear crickets rattling around us in a symphony of freedom and beauty.

Why didn't he settle for the darkness like he always does?

He walks over to a clearing a few steps away from me, where he sits and stares at the meadow of flowers up ahead.

"Elias, I'm..."

"Still angry at me?" Elias doesn't let me finish.

How do I begin to go about this? I thought I had it all planned out, but now...
