Darcy had sent a signal to her gang with her pager, through which everyone understood that she had Cayden with her and that she was going to proceed outside. So, now everyone needed to make sure Kobe wouldn't find Cayden and Darcy until they had left the agency.

But things just don't always go according to plan. There were a bunch of Kobe's loyal dogs at the entrance. They weren't there before and Darcy got the idea that Kobe knew she was in there herself, in the agency and Cayden was with her.
