Missed It?

Darcy, who had found the bedroom with much struggle since she had come to the safe house for the first time, woke up finally after an eight-hour good nap—well she wanted it to be a nap, but the tiredness didn't follow her plan.

The sudden tantalizing aroma of sizzling fish that was filling the air hit her nose and she raised her eyebrows with a delightful expression. No doubt, even an invincible mafia like her, melted at the enticing smell wafting the whole place. They had only water and a few apples to survive the whole ride and Darcy wasn't expecting to eat nothing but the bananas and mangosteens for the time they were here; they had seen trees on their way near the end of the forest.

Darcy curiously got out of bed, following the smell to the place that looked like an open kitchen—which it certainly was, and just as expected, Cayden was cooking, frying some fish. Darcy frowned her eyebrows thinking about how in the world he got those fish in here.
