Bounty

Why did time seem to slow down as we approached a life-or-death situation? The sun that hung in the distant sky seemed to move more slowly than any other day. People gazed at the sky, wondering if they would live to see this same sun tomorrow. The clouds that they once saw as a pleasant sight now made them feel gloomier than ever before. Clearly, the troop that had come to their city was not here to make business deals. The weapons in their hands were a clear indication of their purpose. They could easily sense the magical power that radiated from the thousands of mages on the other side of the river, though they were still far away. Ahead of them, there was a small herd of beasts that were growling threateningly. These beasts must be under contract with the enemy.
