A Dog and A Snake

Arias, who was currently on the city wall, had no idea that he was being targeted. The ridiculously high bounty Oran put on him had almost made him the enemy’s sole target. At this rate, the battle was not going to be easy for Arias. Not only was he on the enemy’s wanted list, but the man who had been assigned to watch over the city wall was also glaring at him hatefully.

“Looks like Nesto won’t let you off easily. Be careful, Arias.”

Farhan, who was standing beside him, warned him, sounding quite concerned.

“I’m not going to worry about him. If my guess is right, that guy won’t be fighting on our side.”

“Nesto has been the duke’s loyal knight for years. Perhaps your suspicion is nothing more than a misunderstanding.”

“A dog will be loyal to its owner until the last day, but a snake will always look for a chance to bite. I could only hope that the duke hasn’t been keeping a snake by his side all this time.”
