Part 23-The Nightmare Inducing Truth

Since their public announcement, the Rogue Syndicate has spent the past week preparing for their assault on Akuma. They have made sure to leave no stone unturned and have made every effort to ensure that this mission will be a successful one. They have honed their skills and are ready to strike when the time is right. Now, it's time for the final preparations. The rogue's have gathered all the information they need about Akuma, and they are ready to strike. The final piece of the puzzle is to find out his exact location. Akuma is a powerful hero who wields multiple types of magic. He is an extremely powerful elemental mage with the ability to manipulate fire, air, water, and earth. He is also a talented physical fighter, skilled in various types of martial arts. His primary weakness is. He is also an elderly hero, having been active for a long time and has aged accordingly. His hero name is "The Great Oni", which is quite fitting given his immense power and his sinister nature. The only thing left to do was to pinpoint his exact location for an ambush, this meant that they needed to search the whole region to find any tip, any clue, any information that might lead them to Akuma. The rogues searched high and low, but there seemed to be no trace of him. They scoured the whole region but found no clue, no trace of Akuma. He was a powerful and knowledgeable hero, it seemed like he had vanished into thin air, and there was no telling where he could be hiding. The normal citizens had been helping the Rogue Syndicate by providing anonymous tips of Akuma's last locations. Everyone wanted Akuma gone, it was obvious that he was a menace and threat to the whole region; his death would be a great benefit to everyone.

The rogues had been getting a surge of tip offs from the citizens, every call or message they received was crucial. The normal citizens were truly eager to get rid of Akuma, there was no reason to protect such a corrupt and dangerous figure. The rogues took every tip they could get, and they immediately set off toward the locations that had been reported. They searched high and low, scouring every inch of the area and following every potential lead. They were closing in on Akuma's location, but he still had not been found. The tip offs were the only way to stay on his trail. The rogues kept following the tip offs they had been getting, and they quickly began to see a pattern. It seemed like Akuma was on the move and was constantly moving location, but the rogues were closing in on him. They were gaining ground, and they knew that they were getting closer to their target. The rogues were gaining ground; it was only a matter of time before they would catch up with Akuma, but they had to be careful because he was very skilled and could be a formidable opponent. The rogues would have to act carefully to ensure they could defeat him. The rogues had closed in on Akuma's location; it seemed like he was making one last stand. As the rogues reached the location, they could see Akuma waiting for them, he could sense that they had caught up to him and he was willing to face them head-on. They would have to act quickly and decisively to win this battle. The battle was set in a dilapidated, crumbling and unfinished construction site. The towering buildings were on the verge of crashing down, and the ground was uneven and rocky, making it difficult to move around. There were lumps of stone and material scattered around the place, and Akuma himself was sitting on a pile of rocks about 10 feet high, watching them approach. He had set up cameras all around the location, broadcasting their fight to the world, for whatever reason. Either way, this battle would be his last, so he had to make it count. Ren arrives alongside Daisuke and Zeref.

With a smug look, Akum Onizuka-The Great Oni, stares at them and speaks, "So, you've finally found me Ren", with heavy breathing and eyes burning with rage Ren responds, "It seems so, now, i will kill you." Ren says so with a cold and emotionless face, "Oh? Is that so? And what makes you think you can kill me?", Daisuke looks at Akuma with a menacing gaze, "because we have all prepared for this, Akuma." "Oh? is that all you have? A bit of training and some confidence in your abilities? It won't be enough; I can assure you. I have been around a lot longer than any of you and I have more experience in dealing with opponents more capable than you." Akuma spoke once again with a curious expression, "I have one simple question for you foolish rogues, what made you wish to defeat me so badly? Did you really think you could have beaten this legendary hero? What senseless motivation would make you march to face your deaths with such confidence? Ren stares into the sky, as if he has been planning this moment for a long time now. "Before a 'hero' like you can understand why, you need to know something first, about me, about the Rogue Syndicate, and about my single goal."

"I was once a man with a heart, a soul, and a conscience. But that was before I became a villain. Before I lost everything that made me human. I lost my emotions, my ability to care, and my humanity. I became a shell of my former self, consumed by my desire for revenge. And now, I have only one reason to live: to find the identity of the hero...the hero that killed my family...and get revenge. I used to be a hero; you know. I used to believe in justice, in doing what was right. But that was before he destroyed everything I held dear. My family, my friends, my home. He took everything from me and left me with nothing. Nothing but my anger, my hatred, and my thirst for vengeance. And so, I became a villain. I embraced the darkness, the pain, the suffering. I became the very thing I once fought against. And I reveled in it. I reveled in the power, the control, the fear. I became a monster, a demon, a force of nature. And I loved every minute of it. But now, as I stand here before you, I realize that I have become something else entirely. Something beyond good and evil, right and wrong, hero and villain. I have become a force of nature, a hurricane, a tidal wave. And nothing can stop me. Not even You Akuma. So come at me. Try to stop me, try to defeat me. Because you will fail. You will fall. And I will be the one who emerges victorious. Because I am not just a villain. I am something more. Something greater. Something unstoppable. And I will not rest until You are dead." Before Akuma can respond Ren continues.

"You know, Akuma, I've been thinking a lot about the past lately. About what happened to my family. About whom did that to them, and to the countless other innocents. And I've come to a realization. I don't know if you're the one who killed them. But I do know one thing. You're the one who's going to pay.

You see, I've spent the last two years of my life hunting down heroes like you. Heroes who think they're above the law. Heroes who think they can do whatever they want, whenever they want. Heroes who think they're invincible. But you're not invincible, Akuma. You're just a man. A man with a dark past. A man with secrets. Secrets that I have uncovered for the world to see.

So, here's my question for you, Akuma. Did you kill my family? Did you take everything from me? Did you destroy my life? Because if you did, I'm going to make you pay. I'm going to make you suffer. I'm going to make you regret the day you ever crossed me.

I'm the one who's going to bring you down, and after i do so, i will bring down the rest of them, every single hero, I will kill all you corrupted bastards, and after im done, only the heroes renaissance shall remain, and the Rogue Syndicate will...disband. So, let's end this once and for all. Let's see who comes out on top. The hero or the villain. The light or the darkness. The truth or the lies. Let's see who wins. And who loses. Forever."

Akuma Responds in a shocking and violent way that leaves even the citizens at home in shock. "Ah, the sweet sound of your voice, so righteous and brave as you dare to ask me the question. Did I kill your pitiful excuse for a family? Oh, my dear, you have no idea the pleasure it brings me to admit it. Each and every one of them met their demise at my hands, and I relished in their suffering like a connoisseur savors the finest wine. Let me regale you with the tale of their deaths, for it is a story that will haunt your nightmares for eternity. Your wretched father, a man who once fought alongside me? a man who thought he could challenge my might, was stabbed repeatedly, his lifeblood spilling onto the cold, unforgiving ground, i left him to bleed out and i loved watching his expression as i continued with the rest of your accursed family. I watched as the light faded from his eyes, his futile attempts to cling to life nothing more than a pathetic display of weakness. And your dear mother, oh how I delighted in her demise. I took pleasure in breaking hero bones, one by one, slowly and painfully, relishing in her screams of agony. Her pleas for mercy fell on deaf ears, for I am devoid of such compassion. As for your older brother, I made sure his end was as gruesome as possible. I reveled in the sight of his broken body, twisted and mangled beyond recognition, a testament to my power, he genuinely thought he could be me with his mere metamorphosis, but I made sure to put him in his pitiful place. But perhaps the most amusing of all was your youngest brother. Instead of granting him the sweet release of death, I chose to leave him in a perpetual state of torment. A coma, oh, how amusing it was to watch him lie there, trapped in a world of eternal darkness, his mind forever tormented by the knowledge that his family had been eradicated by my hand. So, my dear, there you have it. I killed your family, and I did so with great pleasure. Their deaths were not mere casualties, but rather trophies of my dominance, a testament to the depths of my depravity. And now, as you stand before me, shaking in fury, know that your fate will be no different. Your suffering will be exquisite, and your demise will be a symphony of pain."

The words echo in his ears. Rage and fury swell inside him like an explosion held back by a thin membrane. Every word rings true, every sound is a blow to his sanity and his heart. Every tear and scream that his family let out is heard again, and the memory comes rushing back. His father's last words which told him to get revenge on and expose all of the heroes, and now in front of him is the worst of them all. Ren stares at Akuma, unable to process what he just said. He clenches his fists so tight his fingernails dig into his palms, blood dripping down into his fingernails. His breathing becomes ragged and heavy. His eyes are wide and unblinking, as though nothing else exists in the entire world except Akuma's gloating words. Ren speaks, "I will never forget what you took from me. You took my dreams, my childhood, a loving mother and father, the future I could have had if you didn't ruin my life. I can never forget how you gloat about your crimes. You sick bastard! I will kill you; I will rip you to shreds with my bare hands and watch the light fade from your pathetic, worthless eyes." "I will kill you not for the people of this pathetic world, not for the media that has always condemned me and ignored your crimes. No. I will kill you for myself, for the sake of my own peace of mind, my soul and my conscience! My family, my reason for living, died because of you. So, tell me Akuma, why should you live?" "Once I take your life, I will have satisfaction and justice at last. The very thought of your destruction and the joy I will feel knowing that you will never torment another being on this cursed planet, will make my life feel worthwhile for the first time since I was born. You will never hurt another innocent person ever again." Ren takes a deep breath, his rage fading into a cold, calm fury. "Oh, the pain I will make you feel will be immeasurable, and Akuma, you will die here, today, by my hand, and on my terms. I will have the final word. Your death will be slow, painful and brutal, but not before you beg for mercy. My revenge will be sweet and just, and you will not escape this place."

"Finally, I will look you in the eyes...and I will smile. The thought of your pain does nothing but bring me joy. Finally, you will understand true horror and suffering, something you have inflicted upon me and countless others. Your time has come, Akuma. You shall receive the same treatment that you have given to countless others. I will show you no mercy, for there is none left in the eyes of your victims." Ren pauses for a moment. "You are nothing but a pathetic, worthless worm. You have no honor, no principles, and no remorse for the pain you have caused. You are scum. A cancer on the world. And you have the gall to call yourself a hero? You are the lowest of the low, a villain through and through. Your existence is an insult to the world. And I'm going to enjoy watching you die." "Your evil deeds will not be forgotten, Akuma. Your reign of terror is over. And once you are dead, my soul will finally find the peace I have craved for so long. And when it does, I will be the one who smiles, while your name will be one of utter disdain and loathing. Your death will be met with cheers, relief and joy, for you will no longer bring pain to the innocent. You are scum. And I will enjoy your painful demise...at last!" "I am finally...free. No more torment, no more agony, no more pain. You have been my enemy, my tormentor, my reason to live...and my reason to die. But today, you will have no... power over me. I am free from you, and soon, I will be free from this...pain. Akuma. I hate you. I hate your guts. I hate your existence." Ren: "It has been my singular purpose to hate you, to find ways to hurt you. But today, you have given me all I need to know...you have said everything you need to say. And so, all I can say is...goodbye...and good riddance." Ren finishes his long and emotional response to Akuma. While he has not calmed down from his anger, he is finally feeling the faintest sense of freedom after so long. His emotions have reached a boiling point. But with every breath, he is becoming calmer as Akuma falls silent. And finally, that which he has longed for so long... peace.
