After leaving the mirror space, Clark did not continue to act with Robert and Kara. Instead, he departed alone, while Baron Mordo and the other disciples of Kamar-Taj, after canceling the mirror space, chose not to return to Kamar-Taj but to follow Robert and Kara.
After all, there was still another battlefield with a mirror space and Kamar-Taj disciples to check on. Although this situation seemed like a major battle caused by werewolves, vampires, and the hidden Alexander, now it was clear that this was a dimensional event once they saw Alexander being replaced by a dimensional consciousness.
Typically, Kamar-Taj would not intervene in ordinary Earth affairs. If not for Robert's immense destructive power and the formidable enemies, Kamar-Taj would not have intervened repeatedly by opening mirror spaces.
But dimensional events were different. They fell under Kamar-Taj's responsibility. Now knowing that vampires and werewolves were linked to a dimensional event, they had to pay close attention.
Baron Mordo and the others were even prepared to cooperate with the Avengers in a defensive alliance. Should the Dark Dimension start an actual invasion of Earth, Kamar-Taj would also fiercely resist!
In another mirror space, the battle had not ended yet. Even though Martian Manhunter and Kara had killed Marcus and William, and even dealt with the Vampire Prince, the sheer number of vampires and werewolves was still significant. Especially since most werewolves were left for Moon Knight to handle. Despite the help of his crescent darts, Moon Knight's efficiency in killing werewolves wasn't very high.
This was because the true controller of the crescent darts was the Moon God Khonshu, who used the darts to absorb the werewolves' blood and latent power, taking up a lot of time.
However, with more vampires being dealt with by the Avengers, they and many silver-clad mech suits were able to assist in handling the werewolves.
Considering Moon Knight as an ally, the Avengers did not kill the werewolves immediately but left them gravely injured for Moon Knight to finish off.
Tony Stark knew that this battle with the werewolves and vampires wouldn't end their menace permanently. Many of these creatures still existed worldwide, not to mention the mysterious Dark Dimension behind them.
Thus, recruiting Moon Knight, a powerful ally against werewolves and vampires, was crucial for Stark, and the cost was merely some werewolves' lives.
These werewolves needed to be killed anyway, and it made no difference if they died at the Avengers' or Moon Knight's hands, except Moon Knight's method took a bit longer.
"It seems our help isn't needed. They are almost done," Robert said as he and Kara entered the mirror space. The battle was nearly over, with vampire corpses and blood everywhere. The werewolves' corpses looked even worse, all drained dry by the crescent darts.
Neither Robert nor the Avengers felt any pity for this gruesome scene. These vampires and werewolves were no longer considered human, and their hands were stained with the blood of countless innocents. Their extinction would not be mourned.
"Martian Manhunter, invade their minds and find their headquarters, and also locate their other branches," Robert suddenly thought and suggested to the Martian Manhunter.
"For us, finding their headquarters is not easy, let alone the different branches of vampires and werewolves. But for them, it might not be as difficult. They might not see each other as kin, but compared to us humans, their communication is much more likely."
"We humans..." Martian Manhunter glanced at himself, Robert, and Kara hovering in mid-air, feeling speechless. Among them, one was a Martian, one a Saiyan, and one a Kryptonian, none of them actual Earth humans.
However, Martian Manhunter understood that Robert made a good point. Unless Martian Manhunter released his mental power to scan nearly every mind on Earth, even he couldn't find all hidden vampires and werewolves.
Vampires and werewolves, when not transformed, could hide among ordinary people, making them hard to detect.
Crucially, even with his strong mental powers, Martian Manhunter dared not recklessly release his full mental might, as Earth had hidden depths.
Martian Manhunter had once tried to observe Earth with his mental powers and encountered a powerful entity that crushed his mental projection, scaring him. Since then, he refrained from using his powers indiscriminately.
"I found them. As you said, they know the location of their headquarters and several other vampire and werewolf factions," Martian Manhunter quickly reported after reading the werewolves' minds.
"Great, then you take charge from here. Stay away from Johnny, and there shouldn't be any problems," Robert laughed, looking at Martian Manhunter. "If problems do arise, contact me immediately. And keep an eye on Morbius and that guy with sunglasses, make sure nothing happens to them."
"I understand. If we manage to wipe out the vampires and werewolves, they'll be among the few remaining vampires," Martian Manhunter nodded, recognizing the importance of Morbius and Blade.
"No, it's not that simple. I thought they were just anomalies until encountering the dark dimension behind the vampires and werewolves," Robert said seriously, looking at Morbius and Blade.
"When I saw that the dark dimension creatures were also weak to light, I realized these two aren't just random anomalies. Blade might have similar hybrids, but Morbius' unique origin indicates a significant issue."
"The dark dimension might be using some method to overcome their weaknesses, and Morbius could be their solution!"
Robert didn't know what was happening in the distant dark dimension, but he believed everything had its reason. After gathering information about the dark dimension and seeing Servis' tense attitude, he understood the implications of a flawless vampire.
"I understand! I'll keep a close watch on them!" Martian Manhunter responded earnestly.
"Ssss!" Morbius and Blade, who had stopped fighting and were watching the werewolves being drained by Moon Knight, suddenly felt a chill and looked around but saw nothing unusual.
"What's wrong?" Blade and Morbius exchanged glances, sensing something was off. "Are we still under the influence of that Vampire Duke? It seems our powers are still limited by the dimension behind it."
"You... you won't have a good ending!" A dying werewolf hissed as he collapsed, his body shriveling. He looked around at the Avengers and spoke weakly.
"Is that so? I'm looking forward to it!" Tony Stark shrugged, unfazed by the werewolf's threat. Not only was he unafraid of these werewolves, but even if the dark dimension attacked, Stark would fight on the front lines, sacrificing his life to stop them if needed.
"It's over..." Moon Knight, exhausted, sat down heavily. Since gaining Khonshu's power, he hadn't killed so many creatures. Almost all the werewolves here had died by his hand, and even though the crescent darts absorbed the blood and power, Moon Knight felt a deep mental fatigue.
"Tired already? This is just the beginning! There are countless more vampires and werewolves waiting for you to deal with..." Tony Stark walked over to Moon Knight, patting his shoulder with a smile.
"Leave the vampires to you; I can handle the werewolves..." Moon Knight took a deep breath and stood up. "Aren't you tired? From fighting vampires and werewolves to dealing with that vengeful spirit and now this, how aren't you exhausted?"
"Honestly, the old us might have been, but we've had special training..." Pietro shrugged, glancing at the Avengers with a smile. "As one of our missing members likes to say, we can do this all day!"
The Avengers' combat strength might not have grown much, but their stamina had greatly improved through numerous battles and extraordinary events. They were now used to long fights, a significant improvement that allowed them to handle the pressure of prolonged supernatural incidents.
Soon, this mirror space was lifted, and the group returned to the Avengers' base through a portal. This sight made Tony Stark's eyes gleam with thought, considering whether to isolate the Avengers' base in a similar spatial manner.
But after Kamar-Taj shared information about vampires, werewolves, and the dark dimension, and agreed on a defensive alliance, Stark shelved the idea for now.
Robert didn't inform Morbius and Blade about the dark dimension potentially using them to overcome weaknesses. He feared they might be controlled by the dark dimension, compromising their plans and intelligence.
Instead, he shared this with Tony Stark, who was best at planning within the Avengers.
After some discussion, everyone dispersed to rest briefly before starting to target the various vampire and werewolf strongholds identified by Martian Manhunter.
The first target was Alexander's European headquarters.
After Alexander ordered Marcus and William to take most of the elite vampires and werewolves away, the headquarters was left with weaker forces.
Facing the prepared Avengers' attack, these remaining vampires and werewolves had little chance to fight back. The Avengers' targeted methods led to a swift and desperate extermination...
