Aiden POV
I pulled up at the address that Raiven sent me. It was impressive. Something a real pack would be in. I let out a whistle. I got out of the car and walked up to the door. I pressed the doorbell and waited. A butler answered the door.
"What can I do for you?" He asked me as he opened the door wide.
"I'm here to see Raiven Knight." I shifted my weight between my feet.
The butler looked at me. "Do you have an appointment?"
I tilted my head. An appointment? People need an appointment to see him? He must be a really important man.
"Yes. He told me to come here to see him today."
"Ok. Follow me." He turned around and walked to the stairs. We went up to the third floor and then down a hall until we stopped in front of a door. He knocked.
"Yes?" I heard from inside.
"Sir. Your guest is here." The butler said.
"Let him in." The voice said.
The butler opened the door. I was hit by two scents. One was earthy moss sweetened by freshly mowed grass. The other was freshly baked bread with a hint of peppermint.
I sniffed the air as I walked into the room. My eyes landed on the two people sitting behind the desk. They were looking at each other before looking over at me. "Oh. Wow." I sighed. If I'm right these two are my mates. I'm going to play it cool until I know for sure.
The black haired one waved his hand to the chairs. "Sit. It looks like there is a lot for us to talk about."
I walked over to the chairs and sat down. I tilted my head. 'Talon?'
'Yes?' My wolf answered me.
'Is this what I think it is? Did I just meet my mates? I have two?'
'Yes.' He then turned away. Almost like he couldn't be bothered.
'You're not excited?'
'I am but I know they need time. They just met each other and didn't know they had another mate. I don't want to overwhelm them.'
'Makes sense. I'll do the same.'
I watched as black-haired guy shifted. "I'm Raiven Knight and this is my mate Killian Borg." He held his hand out to shake.
I looked at his hand for a few seconds before taking and shaking it. "Aiden Knoxx. Thanks for seeing me."
Raiven leaned back and pulled Killian closer to him. "No prob. Your text convinced me to hear you out. I do need you to go over this though." He slid a packet across the desk.
I picked it up without taking my eyes off Raiven. When I picked it up I went through it, taking my time.
I laughed quietly. "I see you're covering all your bases." I looked back up at Raiven. "Just what I expected a businessman to do."
A slight smile spread across his lips. It brightened up his face. "Of course."
Killian looked up at Raiven. "Can I see it?"
Raiven looked down at him. He reached to the side and pulled out a folder and handed it to him. "I knew you would so I got a copy of it for you."
I looked up at them confused. "Why would he want to see it?"
Raiven looked at me. Killian glanced at me before turning his attention back to the contract. "He's a businessman also. Just in a different field. Not many people know."
I looked at them more confused. "How could few people know? He's part of a big business family. If he was a businessman a lot of people would know."
"I kept the fact hidden for years. The only people that know are my best friend, my little sister and mate." Killian answered me without taking his eyes off the contract.
So few knew about that? Will I get to know? I hope he will tell me if I do end up being their mate. Killian slowly looked up at me. I quickly hid my thoughts. I know whatever I'm thinking at the time shows in my eyes. I have trained myself not to let it show.
"If we are correct about something you might find out soon." Killian said before he looked back down at the contract. He was almost done looking through the contract. I gasped. If I'm right they also think we may be mates.
"But that will wait until we deal with this and know for a fact." He quickly said. It was almost like he didn't want to give me too much hope.
Killian looked up at Raiven. "This is good." He put it to the side. "I think I should ask Henrie something."
An expression crossed Raiven's face. Since I didn't know him well I couldn't tell what it was. "Of course Lil bit."
"Henrie?" I tilted my head and rubbed my chin with my right hand. Killian looked at me.
"Yes. He's from a family my family works with from time to time. I go to him when I need to know something." Killian explained.
"So he's like an informant."
Killian sighed. "Yes."
I watched as he leaned back into Raiven's chest and closed his eyes. He looked like he was going to sleep. After a little bit he opened his eyes and smiled up at Raiven. Raiven smiled down at him.
Lil bit? That's a nice nickname. It matches Killian. I wonder what I would call them if it works out.
I wanted to work with them to get rid of the NightShade pack before but now I want to do it more than anything now. I will do anything for them. I have been waiting so long to meet my mate. Now that I have and found out I have two I want to impress them.
I put the contract on the desk and looked around for a pen. Raiven handed me a fountain pen. I looked up at him, my mouth open. He smiled at me.
I took the pen and signed the contract. I pushed it toward them. "I will do anything to get rid of that nasty group. I want nothing to do with them. I have long wanted to leave but I couldn't since I was born there and would get hunted down if I ran." I slowly looked up at them.
When I did look at them I saw they were surprised with how honest I'm being. I knew they had doubts in me really wanting to help them. I looked at Killian. "It was you who fought against the Alpha right?"
Killian looked taken aback. "Um. Yes. How did you know?"
I laughed. "The Alpha was furious. He yelled at Azule for not snagging Raiven. I looked Raiven up since I was curious about the people that the Alpha wanted and the one that fought against him. I knew it was his mate since only mates fight for each other."
Killian threw his head back and laughed. "So I was right. You were the one that looked us up." After a little bit he quieted down. "Why did you jump to me fighting for Rai when it could have been his PR group?"
I sat back and crossed my legs. "True but it didn't feel like PR to me. Why would they fight over stocks when they could have just turned it off? Not only that but they bought them back and tracked down the culprit." I looked at them both. "Only a mate would have fought that hard. PR would have just written up a contract to get the stocks back."
They both looked surprised. "Wow. You put so much thought into this. You got it right from the start." Raiven rubbed the back of his neck.
I laughed. "I do think through everything. I think about every possibility."
"That is awesome. I might have some use of that." Killian said, tilting his head.
"Use?" I was confused.
"Did I say that outloud?" Killian ran a hand through his hair.
"Yes." I rubbed my chin.
Killian looked away. "You will find out in the future."
