Chapter Twenty

Killian POV

I walked out of school and saw Raiven waiting for me. I ran to him and threw my arms around his neck. His arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me close.

"Time to go to your place? Do I get to stay the weekend?" I asked, looking up at him.

Raiven smiled down at me. "Of course, Lil bit."

"Yay." I beamed.

We got into the car and he drove off to his house. When we got there we went to his office. He walked behind his desk and sat down in his chair. He pulled me into his lap. He leaned forward a little and started flipping through some papers.

I looked up at him. "Rai? When is this person coming?"

"Soon. They may have something to do. Plus I need to get a few things ready."

I looked around. I could see he had some papers on his desk. It seems like he was putting them in order.

"Is that a contract?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. He's a businessman through and through. Not one to get in an agreement without a contract.

"Yes. Don't want him to screw us over at the end of this. If he offers to help, that's what he's doing. Any backstabbing will have consequences." He never looked at me, still fixing the packet.

"Smart. That's my business man." I cooed at him. A blush spread across his face. I giggled. "You liked that?"

Raiven glanced at me from the corner of his eyes. His blush deepened. "Yes."

I put my hand on his cheek and smiled. "You're so cute." I looked deeply into his eyes.

His blush deepened if that was even possible. He cleared his throat. Looks like someone gets flustered easily.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Raiven raised his head. "Yes?"

"Sir. Your guest is here." I heard the butler say.

Raiven straightened. His arms went around me, tightening and pulling me closer to him. It was almost like he took courage from having me near.

"Let him in." He said after a bit.

The door opened and I could smell a scent I never smelt before. It smelled good. I looked back at Raiven and our eyes connected. I could tell he smelt the same thing. It was like it was calling to us.

Silva whined as a tall blonde guy walked in. I tilted my head. What was going on? It was like when I found out Raiven was my mate.

'Raiven?' I mind linked him.

'Yes Lil bit?' he answered.

'What's going on? Why do I feel like I did when we met?'

'I feel the same Lil bit. Don't worry. I think we have another mate.'

'So there are three of us?'

'It looks like it.'

The blonde guy was sniffing at the air. His head tilted as his blue eyes landed on us. "Oh wow." He sighed.

Raiven waved his hand to the chairs sitting in front of the desk. "Sit. It looks like there is a lot for us to talk about."

Blonde guy walked over to the chairs and sat down. His head was still tilted. It was almost like he was talking to someone.

Raiven shifted under me a bit to get more comfortable. "I'm Raiven Knight and this is my mate Killian Borg." He held his hand out to shake.

Blonde guy looked at his hand for a few seconds before taking and shaking it. "Aiden Knoxx. Thanks for seeing me."

Raiven sat back and pulled me back so I was leaning against his chest. "No prob. Your text convinced me to hear you out. I do need you to go over this though." He slid the packet across the desk.

Aiden picked it up while not moving his eyes off Raiven. When he finally picked it up he looked at it. He took his time going through it.

He laughed quietly. "I see you're covering all your bases." He looked back up at Raiven. "Just what I expected a businessman to do."

I could tell a slight smile pulled at Raiven's lips. "Of course."

I repositioned in Raiven's lap. I looked up at him. "Can I see it?"

Raiven looked down at me. He reached to the side and pulled out a folder and handed it to me. "I knew you would so I got a copy of it for you."

Aiden looked up at us confused. "Why would he want to see it?"

Raiven looked at him while I glanced at him and then turned my attention back to the contract. "He's a businessman also. Just in a different field. Not many people know."

Aiden looked more confused. "How could few people know? He's part of a big business family. If he was a businessman a lot of people would know."

"I kept the fact hidden for years. The only people that know are my best friend, my little sister and mate." I answered him without taking my eyes off the contract.

I slowly looked up and saw something flash across Aiden's eyes. It was gone before I could tell what it was.

"If we are correct about something you might find out soon." I looked back down at the contract. I was almost done going through it.

I heard a quick intake of breath from Aiden. Guess I surprised him. If he is indeed our mate I'm not hiding anything from him.

"But that will wait until we deal with this and know for a fact." I quickly said. I never heard of three people being mates.

I looked at Raiven. "This is good." I put it to the side. "I think I should ask Henrie something."

I watched as realization crossed his face. "Of course Lil bit."

"Henrie?" I looked at Aiden. He had his head tilted to the side and he was rubbing his chin with his right hand.

"Yes. He's from a family my family works with from time to time. I go to him when I need to know something." I explained.

"So he's like an informant."

I sighed. "Yes." I didn't like calling him that. He was a friend and more like my right-hand man than anything else.

I leaned back into Raiven's chest and closed my eyes. I opened my link with Henrie. Normally I don't mindlink with members of the pack but I didn't want to text him or call him on the phone. I didn't want to let Aiden know what I'm asking Henrie.

'Henrie, I want to ask you something.'

It took a bit before he answered me. 'Sorry I didn't answer you right away. I was a bit busy. What can I do for you?'

'Can more than two people be mates?'

'Like three people?'

'Yes.'

'Hold on. Let me go check.'

'Ok.'

It took a few minutes for him to get back to me. 'I found the info. It's been a while but yes. Years ago, mates weren't limited to only two people.'

I let the breath I was holding out. 'Thanks Henrie.' I closed the link. I smiled up at Raiven. He smiled back down at me once he got what I was hinting at.
