The Punishment of Going Against Fate - Part 2

A white-haired, middle-aged man stood beside Leon, gazing at him with a helpless expression.

Had Leon opened his eyes and seen who it was, shock would've hit him like lightning. "Old Man Nolan? What are you doing here?"

But Leon was completely unconscious—unable to see or respond.

The man let out a quiet sigh, crouched down, and placed his palm on Leon's forehead.

After a brief examination, he gave a slight nod and whispered, "He's still alive, but his life force has been severely depleted. At this rate, he'll be dead in a few hours."

Just then, a woman's voice echoed in his mind.

"In that case, what will you do? Are you planning to save him?"

The man let out a soft chuckle. "Of course. How else is he supposed to defeat the Evil God? The fate of this world rests on his shoulders, doesn't it?"
