While the thunder spirit and poison dragon continued to bicker about who gets what, Ivan who was cowering in fear in a corner started to hear voices in his head.
Looking up from his knees, Ivan couldn't help but furrow his brow when he realized that no one among his teachers were talking.
On the contrary, Ivan noticed that most of his teachers were sweating buckets while showing expressions filled with fear and despair.
But on the flip side, the thunder spirit seemed to have stopped moving while the Green Fire Poison Dragon who was quietly enjoying the deaths of his teachers seemed to have been angered by something.
The poison dragon kept roaring at the empty sky like a madman.
'Screw your bloodline! I possess the pure bloodline of a Green Fire True Dragon! Give me a few more years to train and I'll be able to dominate Grade 6 Monsters like you easily.' [Green Fire Poison Dragon]
'Pft, yeah right. Only idiots weaker than you would believe in your lizard shit.' [Thunder Spirit]
'But it's true! It's always because of those pesky humans that none of my brethren have managed to evolve their bloodline into a true dragon. Remembering that a trio of those insects killed my brother 10 years ago makes my blood boil too!' [Green Fire Poison Dragon]
'All your brethren died because they were weak. Weaker than humans even! Useless green gecko! Return to your homeland to recover. I'll handle the rest from here.' [Thunder Spirit]
'For the last time, stop calling me a green gecko! I'm a Green Fire Poison Dragon that rules the Poison Plains of Sacred Beast Realm! You Thunder Spirits and your arrogance really gets on the nerves of us dragons, y'know?' [Green Fire Poison Dragon]
'Again, so what? We are arrogant because we are strong, stronger than the likes of you green geckos. Your complaints towards my tribe will not only be ignored by the Inferno Dragon King, you'll also incur the wrath of other grade 5 beasts who do anything to curry favor with me. Satisfied yet?' [Thunder Spirit]
'Tch, why I ought to–' [Green Fire Poison Dragon]
'The green gecko and portable battery arguing over there, could you take your complaints somewhere else? I'm trying to cower in fear peacefully here!'
Just then, the voice of a young child suddenly resounded through the Green Fire Poison Dragon and Thunder Spirit's minds like a loud speaker, stunning them into shutting off their brains for a few seconds.
'Eh? Green gecko, am I going crazy from inhaling too much of your plains' poison gas or did I just hear someone call me a portable battery?'
'I heard the voice too. It called me….a green gec— I'm not a green geckooooooo!'
'Who cares? Just shut up already.' The new voice coldly replied.
'What the–? Do you know who you're talking to??' [Thunder Spirit]
'A green gecko and a mobile battery cell. Yeah, I know. No need to boast about it.' [Unknown Person]
'Heck, even if the green gecko king and mobile electric generator were here, they would immediately keep quiet so as to not disturb me, much less you bozos.'
'Green Gecko King? Shit, isn't that–'
'Mobile electric generator? Zappers, isn't that–'
Before the two interdimensional rift bosses could finish their sentences however, a black spike made from unknown material had found its way into the thunder spirit's chest like a magnet.
The poison dragon too suffered the same fate as the thunder spirit.
When the poison dragon returned to its senses, a black spike had already wedged itself into the back of the poison dragon.
'Thor's mustache, I've been hit! How did this black spike even come close to me? I'm sure my passive skill [Electric Terrain] is still up and running.' [Thunder Spirit]
'Dragon whiskers, I've been hit as well! Ouch ouch ouch ouch! There's something thick and long nailed into my back!' [Green Fire Poison Dragon]
'Oooh, I see it from here. It's black–' [Thunder Spirit]
'Oooowwww! Moving hurts! My back, my back is in pain!' [Green Fire Poison Dragon]
'Quit whining, you scaly baby. Of course it'll hurt if you decide to move with that long and thick pole sticking out of you!' [Thunder Spirit]
'Ugh, then can you help me take it out? I'll owe you one afterwards.' [Green Fire Poison Dragon]
'Do you not see the thick black spike poking out of my chest?! Are your dragon eyes so bad till you think I have the leisure to care about others?' [Thunder Spirit]
'Uhhh….' [Green Fire Poison Dragon]
'Huh? I only pointed out your injury since it looked amusing on you! Nothing more than that!' [Thunder Spirit]
'Both of you are injured yet keep talking. FOR FUCK'S SAKE, SHUT UP!' [Unknown Person]
'Oh? You're still here? I don't know who you are but…you're pretty annoying, you know that?' [Thunder Spirit]
'Annoying my ass! I wouldn't be here if I could! This is why I hate the [Telepathy] skill. It's a passive skill with no way to turn it off! I hate it!'
'[Telepathy]? Isn't that a skill exclusive to humans? Oh, we uncovered a clue just like that…nice!'
'Looks like we found our answer…this mysterious person is a human. Which means…this black spike that penetrated my chest was caused by a human too, amazing!'
Instead of being enraged after finding out that a pesky little insect had caused harm to itself, the thunder spirit plucked the black spike out of his chest easily before giving a round of applause to the humans in front of him.
'Incredible, really darn incredible. Hahahah!' The thunder spirit revealed an amused look towards the members of the subjugation team before continuing on. 'Human, if you reveal yourself right now…I promise that the green gecko and I shall not kill anymore of your human friends.'
'Sure.' Without wasting a breath, Ivan stood up before walking towards the thunder spirit with a smile.
'A child?'
'Impossible…'
'There's no fucking way…A human child can already use [Telepathy]?' The two thought in unison.
