Chapter 33

Leon Corvus

After Aldin had lost consciousness he was rushed to the infirmary but it was only fatigue that had put him in that state. When I asked Penelope the reason, she became evasive bit eventually admitted to her actions. She soon paid retribution for her actions and the next morning I was going to resume where she had left Aldin on forging. Meanwhile Darvin was starting his lessons on advanced magic. From my observation I notes that Aldin was doing his normal outstanding performance as usual probably because of all the torment that he went through the day prior.

After several tries I was finally able to expand and contract the bone materials with ease. But it was noon when he was finally able to and so I took off for lunch. I was very exhausted and just dragged myself to the dining hall, surprisingly Darvin was in the same state but had a smile that seemed to have been permanently stamped on his face.

"How was your lesson." I asked him.

"Tiresome, I never knew that advanced magic would be so tiresome, how about you.?" He said then asked.

"More or less the same, forging is very tiring especially the failures." I answered then let bout a loud sigh.

"When did you get to specialisations?" Darvin asked.

"When I joined I had already covered most of the basic arts of magic and I was able to finish basic arts of magic last week." I answered.

"Wonder how far i would have been if I had gotten discipleship earlier." Datvin said in a low tone but everyone else on the table heard every single word.

"What!" Terias said. The others had not been informed since we wanted to keep it between wraps until the principal announced it himself.

"Oops." Darvin said after realising his blander.

"Keep it down." I said to Terias. "We don't want it to become public knowledge do we. I know most of you already know that Darvin recently advanced after that, he was deemed worthy of being a disciple and now the two of us are both disciples."

"Honestly I'm wondering why it took so long." Barrin said. "When he joined he was unbeatable. He is indeed talented. Though that did not exist before Aldin happened. "

"I have to agree with Barrin on that. Even during the trials I could easily tell he was abnormally strong, eve Barrin can't neat him."

And after having our meals we went our own separate ways. But lesson weren't going to continue, Darvin was called out earlier and then we received an announcement to assemble and I was pretty sure I knew the reason and just as I had predicted Darvin came out dressed in his new uniform, he was announced as the new disciple and this time instead of objections there were cheers. After which we went back to our lessons.

I went back to my class.

"Now we will work on altering the materials shape, this is not an easy task and so I expect you to take more rime and so shouldn't hurry yourself and take your time."

And true to his word it did take quit some time. After trying it out all evening I was still unable to perfectly form shapes, the would continuously have dents and be uneven if not turned to dust. After diner i went for my private sessions with the principal.

"I intend for you to improve your brain's ability. The method professor Bloom tricked you into using is one of the ones you will use but right now I'm going to have you do something else. Instead of focusing on bringing out mana into the air, I will task on compressing a light construct up till where the pressure is more than you can handle and when it is maintain its structure of as long as possible." He said.

And so I got to work after forming a large light construct the size of a giant crate that could fit a standing human adult and begun applying pressure to it forcing it to reduce in size when it became the size of a crate i stopped it because at that point it had become difficult to continue compressing it, maintaining its size was also a difficulty but I had to maintain it in that form since it required a lot of concentration. As I struggled to maintain its form sweat begun dripping down my forehead and after several minutes of exhaustion I finally succumbed to the pressure and released all the pressure I had been applying on it.

"Good first try, now do it again."

And I tried it again and this time I lasted longer before loosing it. But it was too late to continue so we called it a day and I headed out for dinner.

"And we are going to pause on forging tomorrow you and Darvin are going to have a lesson together with Professor Bloom." He said.

"But am I really ready for it ." I said clearly remembering what had happened to me when I tried it with professor Kyle who was still out for health reasons."

"Yes you are and advanced water magic is easier than advance earth." He said.

When I got to the dining hall I found Darvin as tired as I was not that I was shocked.

As we took our dinner the others wouldn't stop staring at us.

"At this point seeing you guys like this doesn't make me feel so bad for not being a disciple like you guys."

"Only you forget that we'll spend less time than you guys here." He said in a tiny voice that still shut them all up.

"Master says well have a lesson together with Professor Bloom." I am said to Darvin who got extremely happy at that.

"I can't wait then." He said.

The next day after breakfast Darvin and I went to the arena where we found Professor Bloom waiting for us.
