The sound was deafening. The air was thick with dust and debris, making it hard to breathe. Right before my eyes, the entire room came crashing down. My heart pounded so loud that it felt like it was going to burst. Everything was covered in a thick layer of dust.
I coughed, trying to clear the dust from my nose, and my eyes started to water. One second, I was standing there, and the next, the whole room was falling apart right in front of me.
Fear gripped me so hard that I barely noticed when Rhys pulled me into another room. The thought of the collapsing ceiling being on top of me was terrifying. I was completely shaken, imagining what could have happened if I had been there for just a few more seconds.
