Daniel delved into the mysterious circumstances surrounding his mother's demise, challenging the initial belief of food poisoning. Instead, he unveiled a darker truth—his mother had been murdered. An anonymous letter, penned by his late mother's former maid, disclosed that Daniel's stepmother had introduced a deadly substance into his mother's drip, leading to her tragic death.
"Boss, I've just received an anonymous letter about your mother's death," Harry exclaimed with joy.
"Really? Is that true? Katherine, after all these years, I finally found another clue!" Daniel exclaimed, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Boss, let's investigate further; leave it to us and rest," Katherine suggested a concerned expression on her face.
"No, this is about my mom; I will go with you. I'll ask Lisa to handle the company affairs, and then we can go together."
Daniel, Katherine, and Harry set out to meet the retired maid to uncover the events of 1999. Upon reaching the maid's house, they discovered she had been murdered in her room.
"How is this possible? She just sent the letter to me. How did this happen?" Harry exclaimed, astonishment evident in his voice.
Overwhelmed with grief, Daniel fell to the ground, crying and shouting.
"You can't die! No, I won't allow you to go as well!" Daniel cried out bitterly.
Katherine hugged him, and they sat down together, with her consoling him. "Boss, it's ok. She's gone already, and we're not tired; we will continue to dig in for you until we reveal the truth."
Suddenly, the maid moved her finger, pointing towards a shelf.
"Check the shelf, arrrrg!" Joanna said as she took her last breath.
Harry checked the shelf and found a diary.
"Boss, I came across a diary," Harry informed Daniel as he handed it to him.
Daniel opened the diary and searched for entries from 1999, proceeding to read aloud.
**Entry 8: A Tragedy Unveiled**
*Date: March 20, 1999*
"Today, as I was on the verge of entering, I witnessed Mrs. Gwen adding a substance to Mrs. Johnson's drip. Overwhelmed by fear, the glass of water I was holding slipped from my hands, shattering on the floor. She noticed and pursued me. Fortunately, I managed to escape. Since then, I've been living in constant fear, stalked, and on the run."
As Daniel grapples with these shocking truths, he faces a moral crossroads. The diary not only exposed a murder but also unveiled the dark underbelly of his family dynamics. Now armed with evidence, he must decide whether to bring justice to his late mother's memory or succumb to the shadows that have haunted his past.
He cried out loud, punching the wall, hitting his head on the wall, and crying bitterly. Katherine cried with him as she consoled him.
"Boss, we've come too far to give up easily, this isn't the end, we will surely destroy her!" Harry said angrily after listening to the bitter truth about Mrs. Johnson's death.
"Boss, Harry is right, you can't get weak, you need to stand up and avenge Mrs. Johnson's death," Katherine said, as tears rolled down his eyes.
"Katherine, she hurt me so much." Daniel cried out. "Is it a crime to live happily with my mom? She denied me my childhood happiness. all I want is just to live freely like other kids do, am I asking for too much?" Daniel asks rhetorically, as tears roll down his eyes.
Katherine hug him tightly and pat him on his back. "It's not a crime to live happily boss, I know exactly how you're feeling," Katherine said, trying to console Daniel.
"Boss let's move, I will prepare the car for you, we have to report this evidence to the cops," Harry said.
"No! I still need a lot of concrete evidence so that we can arrest her and her kids once and for all so that they won't be able to avoid life sentence." Daniel said, clenching his fist.
They reported the murder scene to cops.

Mrs. Gwen received a call from her gangs regarding the mission she gave them to silence the maid she had been looking for for the past 24 years.
"Boss, she's done for," said the gang leader.
"Wow, that's good. I have wired you $500,000; once you finish the remaining job, I will settle you," said Mrs. Gwen happily.
"That, my boss, don't worry regarding that; we have a better chance to destroy the three of them once and for all." Said the gang leader.
"Before that, I want you to attend to something more urgent than that," said Mrs. Gwen.
"What's that, boss?" the gang leader asked.
"I need you to look for a diary for me; information just reached out to me that the maid left evidence, and it's in the hands of Daniel." Mrs. Gwen said, shivering.
"Calm down, boss, what should we do?" The gang leader asked.
"I think we should kill him now because by now he would have known I was the one that killed his mom." Mrs. Gwen said she was looking worried and disturbed.
"OK, boss, I will collect the diary from our informant and kill him and the girl." The gang leader spoke confidently.
"Thanks; once all this is done, we will kill the informant as well. And I will wire $20,000 to your account as well." Mrs. Gwen said.
"Ok, ma! Thanks, boss; consider your task done." Said the gang leader.
Just then, Jerry and Joe entered to give their money feedback regarding their operation.
"Mom! Daniel is done for," Jerry exclaimed.
"What do you mean by Daniel's done for? Mrs. Gwen asked eagerly.
"We successfully burned his new products he's about to launch and those of his investors; he's doomed, Mom," Joe said excitedly.
"What! Is that true?" Mrs. Gwen asked astonishingly.
"Yeah!" Jerry replied.
"Wow! This is great news." Mrs. Gwen replied.
"What's your strategy for dealing with dad?" Joe inquired.
"I'm awaiting the decision of the board directors. Once they finalize and transfer his shares to us, that's when we can take care of him."Mrs. Gwen chuckled.
"The stars seem to be aligning in our favor. Soon, we'll have complete control over the company." Jerry remarked.
Do you think this is the end of Daniel's years of struggle?
