Chapter Eleven

14 weeks later

"I can't believe you're back from training," I say as Logan picks me up in his arms. I have been waiting for him to arrive off the airplane. He looked so handsome in his uniform.

"I miss you so much."

I smile when he brings his nose to mine. I missed him so much, Logan left for basic training with the Marines two days after our wedding. He spent a week in a hotel before he traveled home. Some of the guys, and he wanted to chill and relax. Fourteen weeks felt like years, I loved being Logan's pen pal. I learned many new things about him, we told each other secrets through writing.

"You got so buff." I feel his arm. He left Spiderman but came back as the Hulk.

He chuckles. "You like?" I watch as he flexes his arms.

"Most definitely, you look happy."

"Like I found my hobby again, who I am meant to be."

I nod. "A soldier, not a football player?"

"Yup, and that's okay with me."

Hours later, I sit in my apartment on the couch with Logan. He even smells different. It was hard to explain. He wears more mature cologne. He came back as an adult with no doubts in life. He doesn't talk with slang. It's amazing how different he truly was.

"I have something for you."

"For me? I feel my cheeks turning red. His being home was a surprise, it's self.

"For us." I love the smile on his face.

He hands me a blue gift box. A necklace maybe? The box was way too big for a ring.

A key? I am surprised to see this.

"What does it open?" I narrow my eyes on him. What is he up to?

"A house: our home, where we begin our forever."

Feeling the water in my eyes, I realized how happy I was.

"You brought us a house."

'Well of course I matched your description from the letters. There was a time when Logan and I talked about our dream house.

His hand holds a picture of a perfect white house with a perfect patio porch.

"This is ours?"

He nods.

"A house to write our story in."

He brings his lips to mine, and I kiss him sweetly.

I love this man so much. I love him for the mistakes he made and fixed. I loved him for the person he was and now is. I will always love my Marine.

" I am not sure what our story will be about and how long of a book we will have. I am so glad we are writing it together.

"I love you, Tilly."

"I love you, Logan."
