Chapter 10:Princess Maid

The moonlight, like molten silver, cascaded into the courtyard, enveloping Feng Xuanyi as he stood beneath its ethereal glow, lost in contemplation.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps reached his ears, prompting him to turn and glance at the entrance, where he spotted a grey-clad maiden standing outside.

The girl, about eighteen or nineteen years old, though dressed in ordinary green attire, could not hide her beautiful appearance, pure and graceful.

Upon seeing him, the girl was somewhat surprised, but quickly regained her composure and bowed to him, saying, "Greetings, Young Master Feng, I have been sent by the mistress to serve you. My name is Lianyue, and you can call me Xiaoyue."

Feng Xuanyi smiled wryly and said, "Miss Xiaoyue, there's no need to be so formal. I'm not a young master; you can just call me Xiaofeng."

"Mistress instructed you to take care of my daily needs. I couldn't refuse, so I'll have to trouble Miss Xiaoyue from now on."

"Serving Young Master Feng is my duty." Xiaoyue felt a stone in her heart drop upon hearing his friendly tone.

She was originally a princess of a secular dynasty, named Lianyue. Because her mother didn't want her to become a political pawn, she went to great lengths to make her a menial disciple of the Luoshu Mansion.

As a result, when she was young, she followed He Xinyi to the Wen Tian Sect and has been serving the Luo Qingfeng family ever since. Thanks to He Xinyi's kindness, they had been living a comfortable life.

Today, being suddenly told that she would be assigned as a handmaiden to a newly promoted direct disciple, she was surprised and wondered if she had done something wrong.

Or perhaps this direct disciple was extraordinary and worthy of the Mistress's special care? Need to entertain him with her beauty?

Thinking about it, the intention behind serving Feng Xuanyi was likely misunderstood by those below, hence sending her over here as the most beautiful one.

But upon seeing that it was just a ten-year-old boy, only then did she breathe a sigh of relief.

Unaware of her devious thoughts, Feng Xuanyi waved his hand and said, "Miss Xiaoyue, you will stay in the room on the first floor in the future, while I stay on the third floor. You can come up to the third floor to find me if you need anything. You can go and tidy up your room first."

Obeying his instructions, Xiao Yue bowed and walked into the building to tidy up her room.

Feng Xuanyi glanced at her retreating figure, then looked up at the bright moon in the sky, smiling to himself.

He turned and walked back to his room on the third floor, sat down cross-legged, and began to absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.

If Zhou Xuchen and Luo Qingfeng were to see this, they would be greatly surprised because no one had taught Feng Xuanyi the sect's cultivation methods yet.

But Feng Xuanyi knew that, based on his understanding from his past life, no one would come to his courtyard after nightfall.

However, he didn't know what kind of person Xiaoyue was. But he assumed that as a handmaiden to He Xinyi, she must be someone who knew the importance of things. Therefore, he didn't have too many concerns and thought the sooner he practiced, the better.

He didn't want to waste a single moment, as regardless of his desires, strength was the foundation of everything. Without strength, he could only rage but do nothing.

At this moment, the Formless Heart Sutra, Celestial Nine Scrolls, and Stellar Revelation flashed through his mind one by one.

After hesitating for a moment, he boldly chose to practice both Stellar Revelation and Celestial Nine Scrolls simultaneously, supplemented by the Formless Heart Sutra to harmonize.

Although practicing one technique alone would progress faster, Feng Xuanyi knew from his past life experience that practicing two techniques simultaneously would yield greater results in the long run.

In his previous life, just having Stellar Revelation and the Formless Heart Sutra was enough to dominate a region, let alone now, when he was practicing all three simultaneously.

With moonlight shining through the window, a cool breeze blew outside, rustling the bamboo leaves.

The young boy in the room closed his eyes to practice, his expression serious.

"..."

The next morning, Feng Xuan Yi, who had practiced throughout the night, opened his eyes.

He shook his head helplessly, realizing that he was truly talentless.

After a night of practice, he could only sense a faint spiritual energy, unable to even absorb it into his body.

By this time, Xiaoyue had already gotten up, and Feng Xuanyi greeted her with a smile.

Xiaoyue hurriedly brought water, and Feng Xuanyi washed up before going into the courtyard to stretch his muscles, which had not moved all night.

Although he was already accustomed to breathing in and out, after not moving all night, his muscles were sore and achy.

Not long after, he heard a noise and saw a one-meter-tall, snow-white snow lion bounding in first. Following behind the snow lion, Luo Yuqian dashed in wearing a tight-fitting white robe.

Seeing Feng Xuanyi stretching in the courtyard, Luo Yuqian was visibly dazed for a moment.

"Oops! You're already up. I was just thinking of bringing Xiao Bai over..." she exclaimed, abruptly stopping mid-sentence, her beautiful eyes spinning round and round.

Feng Xuanyi glanced at the snow lion, knowing it was Xiao Bai, the little cat that Luo Yuqian usually carried in her arms. Xiao Bai, with its massive body, sharp teeth, and bristling fur, looked quite ferocious.

Seeing Luo Yuqian's guilty expression, Feng Xuanyi smiled and said. "Little Senior Sister, are you trying to scare me early in the morning by bringing this big snow lion over?"

Luo Yuqian's childish intentions were exposed, and she blushed, retorting, "Of course not! Stop talking nonsense!" With a stern expression and flushed face, she declared, "I was worried you overslept, so I came to wake you up. Let's go to the morning class. Hurry up, don't be late!"

Feng Xuanyi acknowledged with a nod and said, "I'm ready. Let's go, Senior Sister."

He walked up to the snow lion and patted its head, causing it to grimace but refrain from biting him.

Feng Xuanyi shook his head, thinking, "This darn cat is still being so unfriendly towards strangers."

Seeing that Xiao Bai couldn't scare Feng Xuan Yi, Luo Yuqian shouted in a huff, "Let's go!"

With everything prepared, Luo Yuqian made a gesture, and Little White leaped into her arms, transforming into a small white cat mid-air, landing safely in her embrace.

At this moment, Feng Xuanyi was still oblivious to the seriousness of the situation, smiling as he followed along.

At this moment, it was still early morning, the air was crisp and pure, infused with the scent of dew-kissed leaves, while in the distance, a hazy veil of mist danced among the mountains. Against this backdrop, two figures and a cat—embarked towards the distant peaks of the Infinity Hall's rear mountains.

The road ahead was quite distant, but they continued on their way, with Luo Yuqian quickly left her displeasure behind.

Her petite figure bounced joyfully amidst the lush greenery of the mountains, resembling a sprite, her happiness palpable. As for Xiao Bai, it darted around her feet, sometimes even turning back to playfully startle Feng Xuanyi.

Feng Xuanyi watched as Liyuqian bounced around cheerfully, he felt somewhat realized.

Such an innocent and adorable Senior Sister, which young man wouldn't fall for her? Especially when she grows up to be so beautiful?

In his previous life, due to his talent and status, he felt extremely inferior, believing he wasn't worthy of his Senior Sister. Therefore, he buried his affection deep in his heart, never expressing it verbally.

Perhaps in the end, Luoyu Qian wouldn't even know that her silly Junior Brother had once loved her.
