Embracing Happiness

By the time they returned, night had already begun to fall, the fiery red sunset had long since clocked out for the day, leaving behind a lone strip of black and blue, abandoned by the red, floating like a gossamer ribbon in the deep azure sky. 

 

The night air was cool, the sky clear and the clouds sparse. 

 

Ethan Montgomery held her close, her energy completely sapped by their escapades, not until they emerged from the dense woods did she ask him to let her down, to sit on his lap and wait for her strength to return.

 

"The sunset's been gone for a while," he whispered in her ear, his breath warm, his voice low and seductive as their temples brushed against each other.

 

"I know it's gone, but how do you expect me to go back like this?" Avery Miller's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. 

 

From their first meeting, he had been so eager, tormenting her repeatedly until she could hardly stand, let alone walk.
