Distracting Them

Sarah Wilson frowned in confusion, wondering what was wrong with Avery today. 

She had sneaked out last night, and although Jessica Wilson speculated she might have gone home, they didn't really blame her for being distant. 

After all, they didn't know what had happened between her and Emily. 

Sarah had been worried about her last night, but now... could it be that Avery was upset with her and her sister?

"Are you mad at us, Avery?" Sarah persisted from outside the bathroom door, driving Avery Miller nearly insane. Since when was Sarah so concerned about her?

Irritated, Avery clenched her fists, accidentally grabbing Ethan Montgomery's skin in the process, causing him to let out a yelp of pain that startled her out of her wits.

"What was that noise?" Jessica joined in, curious, making Avery wish she could just cry. She hadn't meant to pinch him.
