The Amniotic Fluid Broke

The call ended, and the man in black seemed frozen, his hand still holding the phone aloft, his face a pallid shade of white, drained of all color.

 

"Alex, what's wrong? Was that the boss's call?" The driver turned, his expression immediately becoming grave.

 

"Max, speed up, we have to get to South City Hospital within five minutes."

 

"What, South...South City!" The driver, disbelief clear on his face, looked at Alex in the rearview mirror, "Bro, you can't be serious!"

 

"Of course, I'm serious. Push the speed a little higher. If we don't make it in five minutes, we're both going to pay with our lives for the young master's sake!" 

 

The tension was evident in the man in the back seat, his eyes fixed intently on the road ahead.
