Mistakenly Targeting Lucas Davis

Under the cover of night, Emily Davis, along with her two children and her brother Nathan carrying Avery Miller, fled to a remote mountain village in the southwest. 

The journey was rough, causing Avery to wake from her unconscious state several times, each time with a furrowed brow and a sheen of sweat on her forehead.

Throughout the trip, Nathan was on edge, and Emily's eyes remained puffy and red from crying.

The journey from City A to their remote destination in the southwest was long and arduous. They dared not take the train, opting for a bus instead. 

Upon finally arriving, Emily's heart was still heavy with worry. They immediately took Avery to a small hospital.

In the two days following her awakening, Avery refused to eat or drink, staring blankly out the window at the leaves rustling in the wind.
