She remembered how back then, he favored an all-white ensemble, even his socks were pristine white. His hair, neatly combed and slicked with gel, gave him a clean and meticulous appearance.

 

Time swiftly passed, and had it not been for his sudden confession, which came just a day after she had seen him embracing another girl, she might have accepted him. Angered by the sight, she had refused him, and he had vanished for three years. Perhaps then, she wouldn't have met Ethan Montgomery, and perhaps, she might have accepted his proposal and settled for a simple, ordinary life like any other couple back home.

 

But now, that was no longer possible.

 

She had fallen in love with someone else. Although she had chosen to leave, she knew she could never love someone else so deeply and painfully again.
