Losing Control

"Since when could you turn into a giant monster?" Helen asked. "I never knew I could do so. It's my brother who has always had that power" Catherina replied. "Your brother? You mean the guy who appeared on the news two years ago?" Helen asked, recalling. She was shocked by the revelation.

"So can you change back or what?" Helen asked, her courage rekindled. "I don't know how to. I think only my brother can show me how", Catherina confessed. "Well, what are we waiting for? How do we get him here?" Helen asked. "He is out of the city. The only solution is to call my Mom and Dad. They will know what to do", Catherina said.

"How do we call them?" Helen asked. "Check Ms. Smith's bag. She's got to have her cellphone in there. We'll call my parents with that", Catherina suggested. "Yeah, you're right", Helen said as she quickly entered the bus and rummaged through their unconscious teacher's bag. She picked the phone and run to Catherina who was now lying on her belly.

"What's wrong? Are you tired or something?" Helen asked. "It's nothing. I'm just a little exhausted. My brother said he experienced the same thing the first time he transformed", Catherina explained. "You know my mom's number, right?" she asked. "Yeah", Helen said as she dialed away on the phone. The number dialed for a while before it was answered.

"Hello Ms. Smith, how may I help you", Vivian asked after picking up the call. "Auntie Vivian, it's Helen. We have a situation", Helen said as she proceeded to brief Vivian on what had happened so far. "Who else is there with you?" Vivian asked in panic after hearing the story.

"Other than our unconscious classmates and teachers, Catherina and I are the only ones here. At least I think we are", Helen said as she took a look around.

"Can you tell me exactly where you guys are?" Vivian asked. "I'm not sure exactly where we are; the cliffs, I guess", Helen said after taking a second look around. "Helen there are several cliffs in the area I need your exact location", Vivian said a little tense.

"I'm sorry, I don't know exactly where", Helen said almost in tears. "What's wrong?" Catherina asked. "Your mom wants to know where we are but I can't make heads or tails of our current location", Helen responded. Catherina rose her head and took a look around.

"Tell her to take a look outside. I will send her a signal", Catherina instructed. Helen conveyed the information immediately. Vivian went outside immediately and looked around trying to find the signal, but what she saw next almost knocked her socks off. Catherina took in a deep breath and shot a tower of hot blue flames toward the sky. Once the breath of fire was clear over the mountains, it ended in a loud explosion that sent shockwaves across the sky.

"What was that?" Bernard shouted as he rushed to Vivian's side immediately. After a quick briefing as well as witnessing the after effects of the fire Catherina launched into the sky, he knew the situation was what they feared it to be. Without wasting anymore time, they rushed to the scene following the smoke in the sky.

When they both arrived, something wasn't quite right with Catherina. Helen had already taken cover in the tour bus as Catherina's large body squirmed and convulsed all over the rocky floor.

She smashed her head against the rocks trying to clear her mind and think clearly. "What's going on with her?" Vivian asked Helen after they run towards the bus. "I'm not sure. It began after she shot the fire into the sky", Helen answered, fearing for her friend. Vivian walked slowly towards the unstable dragon with her hands raised in a calming manner.

"Catherina; baby, can you hear me? It's me; it's mommy. Please speak to me!!" she shouted, tears building up in her eyes. Bernard joined her and together, they called out to Catherina as her convulsion intensified.

At certain points through her convulsions, Catherina was able to gain a little control and speak, "Mom! Dad! I'm scared", but the convulsion took over again. "We need help. Call Dr. Michelson, he might have an idea on what's going on with her", Vivian said to Bernard.

Back in Cape Metro City, Samuel and the twins were having a speed flying session with Silendiana. Insanely fast streams of light moved across the skies of the city. With all of Samuel's progress, he could still not break the speed of light. He was still even with the twins and the trio could still not best Silendiana in terms of speed. After a couple of minutes flying over the city, the moved towards the base to end the training session for the day.

As they flew over the jungle, approaching the base, Samuel's mind suddenly went blank and he lost control of his body. With his speed not dwindling any, he fell to the ground with an extreme force, destroying the ground and taking out several trees.

"Sammy!!" Sylvia screamed as they flew down to him. "What happened?" Silendiana asked as she dropped down by him. "I'm not sure", Samuel said as he used his wings to push the tree trunks off of him and sat upright.

"I felt something strange. My mind suddenly went blank, I just can't explain it. I could swear I heard my sister calling out to me, like she was in some sort of danger; in some sort of pain. I hope I'm not right and that she is fine", Samuel said as he dusted himself off, worry clearly plastered on his face.

"You can try calling your mom just to be sure", Sylvester said and Sylvia nodded her head in agreement. "Let's get back to the base first", Silendiana said as they turned to leave only to see Dr. Michelson driving up to them in his SUV, Delgato sitting by his side. He stopped the car with a screech, spreading dust everywhere, and quickly got down.

"Samuel, there's been an emergency back home", he said in a hurry as Delgato also got down. "Let me guess. Something is going on with Catherina", he said totally unsurprised. "How did you know?" Dr. Michelson asked shocked. "I am not sure", Sam replied.

"Anyway, it's good news and bad news. The good news is that your sister has finally transformed into a dragon and the bad news is that, she seems to be losing control. We need to get back home before she goes on a rampage. I don't need to tell you the trouble a rampaging dragon can cause", he said to Samuel who nodded in agreement.

"How about it guys? You always wanted to visit Sienna Metropolis, right? Well, here is your chance", Samuel said to his three friends. "I think that's a great idea. I have things to take care of here so you three will go with Dr. Michelson and Samuel. Think of it as a training field trip. Remember to call for my help if things go out of control. I'll see you all later", Silendiana said as Dr. Michelson took the wheel.

"I call shotgun", Delgato cried out as he quickly dove into the front seat. Samuel smirked at his actions as he folded in his wings; transforming into his human form. He then followed the twins into the back seat of the car.

"Be careful out there", Silendiana warned and with a snap of her finger, lightning struck the car, teleporting it away instantly; leaving nothing but charred grass.

'I hope they all come back safely', she thought to herself. "Time to go to work", she said as as she shot into the sky, flying towards the city.
