The Test Of Teamwork

"Well have you tried pushing the door yet?", Teagan asked as Wyatt was using all his energy to open the door. "If it was that simple, don't you think i would have tried it?", Wyatt asked back in a rather sarcastic tone as he gave up trying to push the door open as it wasn't budging. "That's rich coming from you, you know.", Teagan said in an annoyed voice as Wyatt knew what she was referring to and felt sick from hearing it. "Ok. I messed up one time. Sue me for all I'm worth.", Wyatt said as the look in his eyes were filled with rage, sadness and a little bit of pride. The boy was about to explode with emotions at this point as he couldn't hold in what he wanted to say for much longer. "Well we need to find a way out of here.", Teagan said as she looked around for any alternate exits such as a window or a vent for example. Sadly, there were none in the room other then the locked door at the front. "This isn't going to plan you know.", Alex said as she along with Leo were watching the show unfold from a hidden camera in the room. "You're right sis. Find a way they can talk to each other and if it doesn't work, you know what plan B.I.T.T.G is.", Leo said. "Ugh, they really did there homework this time.", Wyatt said as he took a seat next to left side of the room. "Yeah, they did.", Teagan said as she took a seat about 20ft away from Wyatt. Minutes passed by and the two said nothing to each other. Wyatt was holding his emotions inside but knew he couldn't stay silent forever. Teagan on the other hand was starting to cool down a bit as she was more ready to talk whenever Wyatt was ready to. She even scooted closer to him a few times though Wyatt didn't really pay much attention to it at first. The silence continued to grow, until something unexpected happened. "I'm sorry.", a voice said in a sincere tone. "Teagan looked around and saw Wyatt say that he was sorry. "I'm sorry i lied to you about the application." Wyatt said with a clear throat as he continued to speak. "I was just so worried about....about....about losing you. All i wanted was to have the collage relationship that you wanted that i didn't consider what that really meant, but now i do. For that one act of foolishness, I'm sorry." Teagan listened to Wyatt's words as she felt sympathy for him. All he wanted was the life she wanted and by keeping the rejecting and the second chance a secret, it wouldn't be in jeopardy. Teagan was about to respond when she smelled something odd in the room. "Does that smell remind you of something?", Teagan asked as Wyatt felt even sadder then he had before. "I just poured my heart out and you respond with asking if there's something that smell's odd?", Wyatt thought as he noticed the odd smell as well. "Smell's like bacon." Wyatt said in response. "No, it smells different, like something's burning!", Teagan exclaimed as Wyatt smelled the burning factor as well. Just then, from the far edge of the room, laid a small flame that was getting bigger by the second. "Talk about a fiery conclusion...conclu...fiReYYyyYYYyYYyyyy", Leo said through the camera as it started to lose it's signal as it fell to the floor and broke then and there. Wyatt and Teagan both desperately tried to get out of the room but with the door being locked, there was nothing they could do to escape. "Help, let us out of here!", Wyatt and Teagan repeated as loud as they could. After no one showed up, Wyatt stood between Teagan and the burning blaze. "Teagan, i just want you to know, if i die, at least I'm with you." Wyatt said as he held Teagan's hand. Wyatt then noticed in the furthest corner of the room, right where the fire sprouted, there was a fire extinguisher and it was unlocked. Without a moment to lose, Wyatt rushed to the edge of the room, being carful to dodge the flames, jumping over the fire, he had made it to the fire extinguisher. "Now how do you work this thing!", Wyatt said in a panicked voice as he tried to work the extinguisher but for some reason, it wasn't firing. "Hurry up and use it!", Teagan exclaimed as the fire was now covering almost the entire room. "It's no use!", Wyatt said as he checked the tank and sure enough, there was something clogging the pipe. There wasn't any time for Wyatt to do something and so, without even thinking, he threw the extinguisher to Teagan just as the door's opened up by none other then Leo. "Quick, get outside!", Leo said as he noticed Wyatt was still inside. "What are you doing there? Get out!", Leo shouted. "I....I can't!", Wyatt said as the fire was now starting to make it's way onto his shoes. Leo then noticed the fire department was outside and rushed to them in a panic. "So this is how i die", Wyatt thought as he started to get light headed and crashed to the fiery floor. However, before the flames could consume the boy for good, the firefighters came into the room and set the flames away but not before Wyatt lost his consciousness. "Wyatt!!", Teagan said as she rushed over to his side. "Please, please be ok." Teagan was about to check his pulse when she was pulled away by the firefighters. "Out of the way lady, we need to take you friend to the ER right away. These are some serious third degree burns", The firefighters said as Teagan was watching the show. "Please Wyatt, i know i didn't say what i wanted to say but please, please, do good, for my sake at least", Teagan thought as the smoke from the room ascended into the sky.
