Yapper

He just looked at her without saying a word.

"Kill her..." he heard the voice echo in his head.

"I'm sorry for her outburst" Carol said softly "Finish eating, and head back to your room, someone will clean up after you. I need to keep an eye on her" Carol added before she walked away.

"You could have finished her off you know. Just put her out of her misery so she can join her dead son." The voice said plainly.

"Missing" 935 said in his head as he walked up to the dining table and continued to eat.

"Missing never to be found again is the same thing as dead" the voice said in a matter of fact tone.

935 focused on his food, ignoring the voice, when he ate to his satisfaction he picked up a fork and spoon and left the dining hall.

He looked around Desmond's room, checking if someone had come in when he left before he laid on the bed.

He put the cutleries under his pillow and closed his eyes.

Under the winter night sky, the moon casted its gentle light upon the sleeping world. The moonlight danced on the snow covered landscape, creating a soft beautiful glow.

The air, crisp and chill carried a hushed silence broken only by the occasional whisper of the gentle breeze.

935 tossed and turned, as images of the lab flashed in his mind, he could hear the saw used to cut off his limbs, and the eyes of the scientist as they picked at his organs.

His eyes flew wide open as he sat up, panting. He looked out the window to see the a soldier walking towards the house.

.....

"You know your mission," the soldier heard the commander's voice through the wired earbuds in his ear "go in quietly, the window is open, knock the subject out then we can all move in, subject is sleeping just inject the vial into him as quick as possible"

"Yes sir" the soldier said in a hushed tone.

The soldier maneuvered his way through the mansion grounds and headed for 935's window. He slipped in through the window and into the room.

His steps were silent as he made his way towards his target, he stood by the bed and brought out an injection from his pocket.

The moment he put it inside 935's neck, 935 opened his eyes. The soldier shocked, still tried to inject the substance into his targets neck.

But 935 was faster, he held the soldiers hand and twisted it forcefully, breaking the soldiers wrist bone in the process.

Immediately he covered the soldiers mouth to stop him from screaming or calling for help.

935 held the soldiers jaw and ripped it out. He pulled the spoon out from under his pillow and scooped the soldiers eyes out.

He tried to scream but he couldn't, blood gushed out of the bleeding hole where his mouth and jugular once stayed in place.

935 could see his top row teeth, it was also tainted with blood. The soldiers body jerked a bit before 935 flung his body to the side.

"Soldier come in" 935 heard a voice call out, he looked at the dying soldier to see an earbud inside is ears.

935 pulled out the soldiers ear and removed the earbud from it.

"Have you gotten the subject?" the commander asked.

935 let go of the ear bud, it fell to the floor and he stepped on it crushing it underneath his feet.

.....

"I repeat have you gotten the-" a deafening sound was heard from the other side, halting the commander's statement.

*SSHHHHHKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRRRR*

"We've lost the connection sir" another soldier told him. "Should we send someone else?"

"No. We need a new plan" the commander replied.

.....

935 pulled the injection out of his neck and tossed it on the floor, he then dragged the soldier's dead body to the bathroom. He used the curtains to clean the trail of blood and wrapped the body with it. He closed the bathroom door and headed back to the bed only to hear Trisha's dog barking.

*YAK! YAK!!*

He picked up the injection from the floor and headed for the door, he opened the door to see the dog in front. The dog began to growl and bark at him.

*GRRRR!! YAK! YAK!! GRRRR*

935 looked at the dog as it kept on barking and growling, he bent down and in a motion that surprised the dog, held the dog's head with his bloody hands before pulling the dog into the room and shutting the door.

The dog's whimpering sound could be heard from the room.

.....

As the sun began its ascent on the snowy plains, soft shades of pink, orange and lavender painted the sky.

The sun's rays like a warm embrace, gradually melted the night's frost. The snow sparkled as the sun's light touched it.

Everything was quiet and peaceful, making it a beautiful winter morning. Suddenly a female's scream pieced the air, disrupting the mornings beautiful tranquility.

Carol rushed over to see Trisha standing in front of Desmond's room. "Oh no did something happened to the child" she muttered as she rushed over to Trisha.

What she saw next both shocked and horrified her. On the floor laid 935 and not far beside him was Yapper's body.

"Monster..." Trisha muttered with teary eyes as she slid down to the floor.

Carol slowly and cautiously walked in, her body shaking with every step she took into the room.

Yapper's body lay in the midst of the lego sets and toy building blocks, she could see blood stains on the toy pieces and the floor.

935 slowly opened his eyes, everything was a blur till he focus on Carols figure above him.

"I guess some of the injection did get into my system" 935 thought to himself as he slowly sat up.

Carol was far too entranced by Yapper's corpse to notice when 935 woke up.

She could see Yapper's bloody teeth scattered across the room floor. There was a dried up blood pool beneath the dogs corpse.

Carol turned to see Trisha rushing towards her, instinctively she took a step back only for Trisha to lunge at 935.

"You demon" Trisha exclaimed as she tried to squeeze the life out of him. 935 held her hand tight and flung her to the wall, she hit her back on the wall and landed with a thud on the ground.

The maids hurried into the room and secured Trisha to the ground. Carol was still in a state of shock as she wondered what monstrosity aided the dog to its demise.

Trisha freed herself from the maids and lunged at him again. Carol's eye was sharp enough to see when 935 grabbed the injection, she quickly lunged for Trisha, they both tumbled to the floor.

Carol stood up, and held Trisha tightly "Barricade this room, he doesn't go out and no one goes in" Carol commanded before pulling the distorted Trisha out of the room.

The maids followed behind them and locked 935 inside the room. 935 had a smile on his face as he watched them close the door.

He smiled as remembered how the annoying dog yapped no more...
