Impossible

935 was taken to a mental facility, and as per Trisha's instruction was taken straight into a room and strapped on the bed. A bright light shone on him, as he opened his eyes the first thing that greeted him was the intensity of the light above him. His pupils dilated as he stared at it, his eyes partially squinted.

He looked around to see a man with surgery clothes on, a face mask concealed his face and his head was covered by a blue cloth.

"Are you sure about this?" The man said and Gary walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"That's what the lady that wanted him here said, she paid a huge sum for this" Gary replied.

Without looking away from 935 he asked Gary "Are you sure you gave him the anaesthetics?"

"Of course, Shaw, now get to it," Gary said as he walked away. Shaw sighed as he looked at 935 who looked back at him.

"Not my fault kid" Shaw let out before he walked out of the room. 935 followed Shaw's movements till he shut the door behind him.

935 looked around, trying to figure out where exactly he was, he looked down to see a large mirror before him, and he guessed that just like back at the lab, behind that huge mirror, there were rows of scientists watching him.

He suddenly felt a surge of electricity rush through his body, he furrowed his brows as he stared at the mirror.

"Is it broken?" Gary asked as he stood beside Shaw.

"No" Shaw replied dryly.

"But it doesn't seem to be working" Gary snapped.

"Give it time" Shaw reassured him as he increased the voltage a bit.

.....

Carol picks up a syringe and looks around the room, she looks at the bathroom door as she slowly makes her way to it. Her hands wrapped around the cold metal door knob as she turned it. She looked at the bloody curtain before her, frozen.

It leaned against the huge bathroom wall. Cautiously and slowly, she walked over to the curtain, with shivering hands she reached for it and pushed it. It fell to the ground and the soldier's body rolled out of the curtain.

Carol took a step back, and with a hand over her mouth she stared at the soldier's body, she could feel a lump in her throat. Immediately she looked to the side and threw up. A wave of fear washed over her body as she remembered Yapper's body and then this.

"What are you?" She muttered she didn't even notice when someone walked up to her, she felt a prick on her neck and turned around to see. The moment she turned around her body felt heavy and her eyes closed.

Carol fell to the ground with a thud, without so much as the opportunity to know why. The soldier's body was wrapped back up in the curtain and carried out along with Carol's body.

.....

935 strained a bit as the voltage was increased but not once did he show his discomfort nor did he scream. This annoyed Gray, he pushed Shaw aside and said "Enough of this, time to crank this baby up to the max" he declared as he quickly increased the voltage.

935 felt as the electricity coursed through his body, followed by the numbing shock that forced every muscle in his body to contract. He could feel his flesh and cells burn as the electric current surged through his body.

Images of the torture he had been through resurfaced in his head.

"That's what I'm talking about" Gary announced as he could practically see the current coursing through his body.

"Stop you'll kill him" Shaw said as he rushed over to the machine to turn it off. The moment he reached the machine the door flew open and he froze. A couple of soldiers march in armed to the bone as they surround Gary and Shaw.

"On your knees" the first soldier ordered.

"Who are you people?" Gary asked ignoring the command.

Shaw on the other hand had other concerns "Right away sir, but if you'd just let me turn this off" he said as he reached for the panel but a soldier fired at the panel.

"On your knees," a voice said. All the soldiers suddenly went into a salute as a bald man walked in. This was their commander, he stood before the screen without giving Gary or Shaw a glance as stared at 935.

"Sir we have to stop the machine or it's going to kill him" Shaw said in concern as he got to his knees.

"Negative doctor, that right there is no person you should be caring about," The commander said in a stern tone "And besides we need to wear out the specimen before we can proceed" he added. His words only further confused Shaw and Gary.

Gary on his knees wanted to refute but suddenly a bolt of electricity hit the glass. They looked to see the electric current occupying the room, but they could barely see 935's body. Another bolt of electricity hit the glass again, then another, and another, and another that shattered the glass before them completely, the force pushed all of them back. Some of the soldiers hit the wall while others were quick to react by squatting down.

Shaw and Gary had their hands on either side of their face covering their ears. They slowly rose to their feet and looked around them.

Two of the soldiers hit their heads against the wall, their heads seemed to have been fried by bolts of electricity and those that weren't hit had shards of glass in their faces, had glass sunken deep into their skin.

It punctured a soldier's eyes and nose and some, their throats. Blood dripped from their wounds and onto the floor. Shaw slowly rose to his feet and looked into the room. It was empty.

"Impossible" Shaw muttered as he looked around.

The commander rose to his feet and looked around. Except for Gary and Shaw, his soldiers were either dead or too injured to fight. He brought out his walkie-talkie, the moment he switched it on...
