Echoes of the Forbidden: Unveiling

Within the crowd, a hushed conversation caught Nova's attention. A pair of individuals were discussing the Eldermyst family's involvement. Nova discreetly approached the conversing duo to glean more information.

Customer 1: "I heard the Eldermyst family is in a frenzy over this. Some say it's a power struggle for the family head position."

Customer 2: "Yeah, and that dragon attack? Unbelievable. How does a dragon end up in the middle of Eldermyst affairs?"

Their words sparked Nova's curiosity even more. He decided to strike up a conversation, feigning casual interest.

Nova: "Excuse me, couldn't help but overhear your conversation. What's this about a dragon and the Eldermyst family?"

Customer 1, looking a bit startled: "Oh, you must be new around here. There was an incident last night. A dragon attacked the Eldermyst family, and Lord Atticus supposedly intervened."

Nova, maintaining a composed demeanor: "A dragon attacking a powerful family? That sounds like something out of a fantasy novel."

Customer 2, nodding: "Exactly! And they say Lord Atticus severed its wing. Quite the heroic move, don't you think?"

Nova, playing along: "Impressive. Is Lord Atticus a prominent figure in these parts?"

Customer 1, with a knowing look "Oh, absolutely. He's one of the main line sons in the Eldermyst family. Some even say he's in line for the family head position."

Nova: "Interesting turn of events. Do you know why a dragon would attack them?"

Customer 2, speculating "Rumors are flying. Some say it's a manifestation of chaos energy, others believe it's a deliberate act. The Eldermyst family is shrouded in mysteries."

Before Nova could inquire further, Alaric arrived at the store, carrying the much-awaited batch of books. The customers, momentarily diverted by the conversation, now shifted their attention to the new arrivals. Alaric swiftly moved to restock the shelves.

As Nova delved into the newly arrived Chaos series books, the revelations about the forbidden realm and its inhabitants unfolded before him. The author's intricate descriptions and insights painted a vivid picture of a realm shaped by Frenetic Essence, a potent blend of chaos and death energy.

The chaos within the forbidden realm was described as unpredictable and uncontrollable, demanding intense focus to harness its destructive power.

One particular section caught Nova's attention—the mention of the seven absolute beings who ruled over the forbidden realm. Their unique composition of death and chaos energy, gifted by the supreme, rendered them unkillable.

However, a crucial detail emerged from the text: their kin, despite inheriting some of their power, could be slain.

These revelations resonated with the information shared by Alaric, aligning seamlessly with the details imparted to Nova. The mysterious author of the Chaos series remained unknown, yet possessed an intimate knowledge of the forbidden realm and its enigmatic rulers.

As Nova immersed himself in the pages, a newfound determination surged within him. The dream's echo, the voice urging him to find Cynthia, resonated more strongly. The pieces of his identity puzzle were gradually falling into place, and the significance of his journey to meet Cynthia, the ruler of the COC, intensified.

Setting the book aside, Nova approached Alaric, his gaze filled with determination.

Nova said "Alaric, I appreciate your guidance and the knowledge you've shared. But soon, I need to embark on a journey to meet Cynthia-Silvernight. There are questions that only she can answer."

-the next day-

Nova arrived at Evangelene's mansion, anticipating answers about the COC and the recent events in the ElderMyst family. However, as he entered, he noticed a palpable tension in the air. Evangelene's usually composed demeanor was replaced by a worried expression.

Sensing the unease, Nova inquired, "What happened, Evangelene? Why do you look so concerned?"

Evangelene sighed; her gaze heavy with the weight of the unfolding events. "The one who got attacked is my father's favorite, Atticus. He's a master in both battle and strategies, and he never takes matters lightly. After my elder brother, he is next in line for the family succession."

Nova's curiosity deepened, "Family succession? What does that have to do with the recent attack?"

Evangelene gestured for Nova to take a seat, "My family is not just bound by blood; it's a political entity with a complex structure. The succession involves choosing the next leader, and in our family, it's a highly competitive and, at times, dangerous affair."

She continued, "The strained relations among siblings have escalated. My brothers are taking the succession too seriously. In their pursuit of power, they've made some perilous choices, forging alliances with dangerous individuals who aim to seize control of the family.

The so-called allies they've brought to the table pose a threat not only to our family but to the delicate balance of power in the realms."

Evangelene continued her narrative, revealing more about the intricate alliances that were being forged within the ElderMyst family.

"Atticus, after ascending to the position of family head, made a strategic alliance with the Sun-Rose family," Evangelene explained. "As a part of the agreement, he promised that I would be wed to their family as the first princess. It was seen as a move to strengthen ties and ensure a peaceful coexistence between the families."

"However," Evangelene continued, her expression clouded with concern, "my eldest brother, Thaddeus, has made alliances that are shrouded in mystery. My agents have been unable to uncover anything substantial about his chosen ally.

The only description we have is that his face is concealed by an interference magic of the highest order. It's a level of secrecy that indicates a connection to the Mage Tower."

Nova's mind buzzed with the implications. The Mage Tower, an enigmatic institution known for its mastery over magic, had a reputation for being involved in clandestine affairs.

"Thaddeus's alliance raises questions and concerns," Evangelene admitted. "The Mage Tower's involvement introduces an element of unpredictability. We don't know their motives or what they stand to gain from this alliance. It's a precarious situation that could tip the delicate balance of power in unexpected ways."
