The Alliances.

Nova's eyes reflected a depth of sincerity as he spoke, "Eva, our history runs deep, and that's precisely why I can offer you something beyond conventional power. What if I told you I have a way to help you if you really want to become the family head."

Eva's brows furrowed in curiosity and a touch of skepticism. "What are you talking about, Nova? Are you suggesting you have something that will help me to ascend the throne?"

He explained everything to her if she promised to keep everything a secret.

"Nova, you're telling me you have the ability to bring back dragons from the dead?" Eva asked, her voice a mix of astonishment and curiosity.

Nova nodded, "Yes, with the help of Ignis, my companion. He's not just a dragon, but a manifestation of chaos energy, and together, we can manipulate the essence of Frenetic."

"I can help you secure the throne if you wish, but it's not just political influence," Nova explained.

"Will your intervention be subtle, Nova?" Eva inquired. "I want to ensure that we don't plunge our family into chaos. The throne must be won with grace and wisdom, not through upheaval."

As Nova and Eva forged a pact based on shared secrets and a common goal.

After Nova's revelation to Evangelene about his extraordinary origins and the recent events, they parted ways. Nova urged Eva to inform him of any developments related to her family's internal affairs.

nova went to meet Alaric in the bookstore, the store was closed, and Alaric was nowhere to be found. Concerned about Alaric's sudden disappearance and fueled by Ignis' ability to trace his energy, Nova hurried to the bookstore. Nova instructed Ignis to intensify the tracking spell they had subtly placed on Alaric earlier.

Following the trail of Alaric's energy signature, Nova and Ignis arrived near an abandoned castle. Ignis, sensing the formidable presence of numerous beings within, heightened their concealment, making them practically invisible.

Nova, cautious yet resolute, observed the scene unfold. The cloak of invisibility extended even to their sounds, allowing Nova to stealthily approach. As they drew closer, Ignis detected nearly a dozen powerful entities, each possessing strength comparable to mid-level gods.

Upon reaching the designated location, Nova recognized some faces from powerful families.

Witnessing the unexpected gathering of Thaddeus and Alaric, Nova's heart raced with a mix of concern and curiosity. Aware of the importance of their discussion, Nova attempted to eavesdrop on their conversation. However, cautious not to jeopardize his cover, he refrained from getting too close.

Understanding the need for subtlety, Nova instructed Ignis to shrink in size and approach the clandestine meeting. Ignis, now reduced in stature, expertly maneuvered through the shadows, ensuring he remained unnoticed. His telepathic connection with Nova allowed him to relay the snippets of conversation taking place among Thaddeus, Alaric, and the Thanarites.

Bits of dialogue reached Nova's mind, creating an intriguing puzzle. Phrases like "deal with your ancestors" and "same as I am proposing to you" fueled Nova's curiosity, yet the incomplete information left him yearning for more.

Realizing the potential risks of discovery, Ignis retreated stealthily, avoiding any suspicion. With the extracted information in hand, Nova deemed it crucial to maintain their covert stance.

With a sense of urgency, Nova reached out to Evangelene, urging her to come to his apartment discreetly.

Nova's Apartment - Evening

Eva entering the room with anxious look. Nova, you've got me on edge with all this secrecy. What's so important?

Nova went out to see if anyone is there outside, he closed the door behind Eva and shut the drapes of the window.

nova sit on the chair with worried look and said "Eva, last night I trailed Alaric, and the trail led me towards the abandoned castle near the forest".

Eva with intrigued look said, "That castle is my family's asset, it was abandoned after the guild's HQ is completed".

nova sighs and explained to Eva "I saw your elder brother along with few Thanarites and Alaric in that abandoned castle."

Eva stepped in, her eyes meeting Nova's, who motioned for her to sit. "Eva, it's time you knew the whole truth," Nova's voice carried a weight of seriousness as he gestured toward an empty chair.

Eva, her curiosity piqued, settled into the chair. "Okay, Nova. You've been dropping bombshells all day. What's the deal with Alaric? Why's he more than just a bookstore owner?"

"Alaric is a first-generation Thanarite from the line of the third lord," Nova revealed, his tone measured. "A being of immense power, hiding in plain sight here."

Eva's eyes widened. " Thanarite? Living here? Why?"

"He sought refuge from the chaos and the 'mission' of forbidden realm. He chose this place for a peaceful life," Nova explained.

Eva, arms crossed, questioned further. "So, why's he connected to my family? Why was my eldest brother with him?"

"Your family is getting entangled in dangerous alliances. Thaddeus and Alaric were in discussion, and there's an unknown figure from the Mage Tower involved," Nova disclosed.

Concern etched across Eva's face. "Mage Tower? What does Alaric have to do with them?"

"That's what we need to find out," Nova sighed. "Alaric is deeply involved in your family's affairs. Thaddeus might be striking a deal with him, and this mysterious ally adds another layer to the puzzle."

Eva considered the revelations. "If Alaric is as powerful as you say, we might need him on our side. I'll approach him, mention my grandfather's recommendation, and see if he's willing to support me. But, Nova, keep me updated on anything you find."

"Be cautious, Eva. There's more to Alaric than meets the eye. This might change everything for your family," Nova warned.

Eva's determination shone through. "Don't worry, Nova. I can handle this. We'll uncover the truth and secure the throne. Just stay vigilant."
