Ch 53 - 2nd Year So Far

2nd year was similar to his first. Albion had a lot fewer lessons as he got to drop some. Blacksmithing, Magic Engineering, Alchemy. All the lessons he had no interest in. That didn't mean he could drop history or language or other core subjects they had to learn until 3rd year. But close in on lessons he wanted to learn.

Though there were a lot of developments in this year. Albion began to teach class B for Magic Theory. However, with different students didn't mean better behaviour. The students were just as snarky and annoying as ever, if not more so after becoming second years. But that only gave Albion a great excuse to use a skill often. Instilling fear into all his students to make them silent during classes. Sylvia would often giggle as she always watched over his classes, not just doing it to monitor him. She knew he had a great understanding of the theory she taught him. But she watched over it because she found watching him teach fun. Albion became a strict teacher who wouldn't tolerate any distractions from his lessons. The nobles soon came to know not to say anything during the lesson. But that didn't stop them outside of it.

Albion often spent a lot of time with his new friend group. Working out with Pixie. Going to casinos with Dusty at which they were always promptly kicked out of. Rebecca helped Albion train his manipulation of the nature element due to being of a Druid class and having a skill that let her do something similar to Mana Lines with nature. Albion enjoyed his time with his new friends.

And then there was Sylvia. Albion liked spending his time with her. Sylvia began to teach Albion magic spells she had never taught anyone. Even to her other disciple Albion was the only one to learn these certain spells. Showing him the magic circles for each one of her magic spells unique to her. Learning all but the legendary spell. Sylvia said that this one was something that she would only teach him when the time came. It was magic so devastating that even she was scared of what she made. Albion asked her why nearly all her spells were so large range and all she could tell him was that she was a War Mage. But she never gave details as to when she would teach him or details as to what a War Mage was. But she taught him more techniques to make up for it.

The swordsmanship lessons had been very different from what he was doing in Class D first year. After having a basic understanding of the 3 Basic Sword Strikes technique he was able to participate in lessons. In which students would go against Mrs Croft and she would give them areas to work on. The technique involved the 3 basic sword strikes of swordsmanship but was used in a consecutive flow-like manner. The movement of the body propelled forward for an offensive strategy that didn't involve any defensive techniques. The swordsmanship alternated between vertical, horizontal and stabbing strikes in different intricate patterns.

Albion also finally got rid of every single spirit that was following and stalking him. He thinks. Though they could've just decided to stay invisible instead. Waiting so he stopped trying to be as boring as possible. Albion even stopped talking to Lily out loud and only in his head. Quickly moving places so they couldn't keep up. They all naturally left. He thinks. Though he felt bad. They all seemed to like him. But they had no understanding of personal space even when he told them about it and the definition of personal space. As far as Albion was concerned they were peeping weirdos that watched him no matter what he did.

Then there was physically. Albion was doing great physically. With Pixie's help, he was pushing himself harder than ever. Albion had much more defined muscles with his still lean physique. In fact, if he took off his shirt people would see his shredded physique with his lower-looking body fat. Even though he had more body fat than other people. It was just dense due to his Gluttony skill. Albion standing at 6ft at nearly 10 years old.

Albion also learned what Nympho meant. While living with Sylvia he was drowned in her love. But it wasn't just her love that Albion was drowning in. Sylvia wanted to do everything for Albion. If he didn't protest to what she wanted sometimes he would've been a couch potato by now. She wanted to feed him, clean him, brush his teeth, and help him with all his homework. She wanted to help him do everything from menial tasks to his basic human needs. But Albion quickly put a stop to that when it was getting too far. However, that only made the love he got from kissing more and more intense. Sylvia would completely torture him with it. Yet he loved it.

Albion still got his crystal ball messages from home. And because Albion moved Heart was personally delivering them to Albion. Of course, he saw Albion and Sylvia together. Yet all he had to say to that was.

"I knew you would be a ladies' man. Good on you!"

But right now it was a weekend. Albion took one of the few breaks he took because he felt tired after doing a solo dungeon run to the 5th floor.

The second floor had a 50-kill bonus where it would summon 50 White Dire Wolves. Wolves that were much stronger than regular Grey Dire Wolves.

The third floor was a very annoying combination of Dire Wolves and Goblins where he has to kill 10 of each. The Goblins seemed to have tamed the Dire Wolves so they were harder to fight with just a sword. A 100-kill bonus being a large army which numbered 300. There were the most basic Goblins and Grey Dire Wolves but there were some variants and White Dire Wolves. Some even road the wolves for a versatile combination. Goblin swordsman on wolves, Goblin Archers on wolves. Extreme difficult to do alone.

Yet there was a fun part to that floor. Even remembering that floor now made Albion laugh.

A group including the archer from before tried to kill Albion again while the army had just summoned. So instead of just Albion, their target. They were instead was met a massive army of Goblins and Dire Wolves. Albion using the magic Sylvia taught him to wipe them all out. However, he had to stop there. The magic significantly draining his current capacity.

After returning and missing the bonus kills on all the floors he had done the 4th floor was different. It was an open field. All with different slimes. Spitting acid, and flames, some were metallic, others were a lot more violent. There were also different sizes. Regular sized to big. The big being the size of a car. Though he couldn't find a bonus kill. No matter how many he wiped out.

The fifth floor was a different game though. A different challenge, unlike the other floors. A race. The world crumbled around them as there was one exit to the next floor. Only so many people could get through. A limit as to how many passed at one time. Those that didn't get through would fall into the void and die. However, with flight magic, it was a lot easier. Albion did remain impressed with the test though. Some swordsmen were fast. Using Body Mana well and matching Albion's flight speed. Others carried their party members on their backs and ran for their lives. Still making it.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

Albion shot up awake as he was lying on a large messy bed. Dreaming of what had happened throughout the day so far. Red kiss marks covered his face and body. Hickies along his neck. He looked around in the dark room, curtains closed. His clothes were on the floor and no Sylvia was to be seen. He looked at the bedside table and looked at the note left.

"Just went out to grab some shopping. Though if you're still asleep I'll join you. Wait if you're asleep how will you read this? Why am I still writing?"

Albion gave a slight giggle as he read the note.

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

Albion gave a slight jump as he became more alert. Rubbing his tired eyes.

Albion: {What?! Who the hell hits someone's door like that?}

Albion walked from the bedroom with only briefs on. He became more alert but he didn't realise he was still covered in lipstick marks. Something Sylvia only wore just to cover him in. She even told him she would make him walk out it the marks someday. Though Albion or Sylvia didn't realise today would be that day.

Albion walked over to the front door and opened it. Rubbing his eyes at the bright sunlight.

Albion: Knocking is…

Albion immediately flew back as a blue hand grabbed him by the neck. Slamming him against the wall as the choke on his neck got tighter. He pointed his hand out on instinct as a bolt of lightning shot out of it. A metal Faraday cage formed from the man's hand as he absorbed the lightning bolt.

???: WHY ARE YOU HERE?! {THESE LIP MARKS! THE SHAPE! THE SIZE! THEIR HERS!!!}

Albion looked at the principal as his eyes adjusted, not needing that much time to perfectly adjust. Glaring at the principal as he was the last person he would ever want to see in this house. The last person he'd ever want to see period. Albion would rather face off against the demon lord now than see Veldris.

Albion: Get out of this house now!

Albion had a stern voice as he glared daggers at Veldris who didn't make the hand of mana disappear from Albion's neck.

Veldris: A RAT DARE TELLS ME WHAT TO DO!

Albion felt the blue hand get tighter around his throat. Trying to choke the life out of him. Albion made another attack as a spinning spike formed. And as quickly as it appeared it also quickly shot at the teacher from point-blank range. A barrier appeared but it broke. Then many more barriers popped up as rings and necklaces glowed on the older man. Albion counted 20 barriers as it broke 11.

Veldris: If you don't tell me, I'll just kill you here!

Albion glared at Veldris. The man not only threatened him. But this was the same man that threatened his family. Now breaking into Sylvia's house and trying to kill him. Rage swelled up in Albion.

Albion: {He doesn't deserve to live!}

Veldris who was standing so confidently and all-powerful started to gasp and choke as the blue hand around Albion's neck disappeared. The air was leaving Veldris as his lungs were close to collapsing. But Albion wanted Veldris to suffer as Albion was coughing and choking from being strangled. Slowly letting Veldris feel the pain of losing the ability to breathe. But the front door creaked wider open as Sylvia closed it behind her.

Sylvia: Albion why is… ALBION!

Sylvia had just walked back into the house through the open door. Rushing over she then noticed Veldris. Veldris was on the floor suffocating. Sylvia knew what it was. What Albion was doing. Seeing the bright blue lines running along his body as controlling an element within someone required a lot more mana and control.

Sylvia: Albion stop! I'm here! You're going to be ok.

Sylvia pleaded as Albion looked up at Sylvia. She saw there were red marks around his neck from a strong pressure applied to it. Veldris gasped for air as he started breathing again. Gasps to fill his empty lungs.

Veldris: Y-You… you… can use Mana Lines!

Veldris looked in shock but Sylvia had a less than happy face on.

Sylvia: ELLIE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! WHY DID YOU ATTACK ALBION?!

Albion: *Pfff* Your name is… Ellie. *Pfff* Haha… Ellie Veldris! Haha…ow.

Albion held his neck in pain. The force put on it wasn't any ordinary amount of force. Just like Albion intended for Veldris. Veldris also intended to kill Albion.

Veldris: Y-Your disciple. You took him… without my permission. Why is he in your house?

Veldris may have been an Arch Mage but he was still an old man. His frail hands shaking. Barely able to breathe after suffocating like that. If he was a normal old man he would have died already. Well, past 100 years of age.

Albion: Why would she need your permission? Anyone can have a disciple.

Veldris: BECAUSE I'M HER FIRST DISCIPLE!

Albion looked at Sylvia as she looked down. As if in disappointment by that fact. Failure, regret. Albion couldn't quite tell what she was feeling at that moment. But Albion liked doing something.

And it was pissing this old man off.

Albion: So you're the mean prick that treats Sylvia badly! HAHAHA! How does it feel losing to a child for a second time?

Veldris: YOU COMMONER…

Sylvia: ELLIE!

Sylvia shouted at Veldris as he not only broke into the house but tried to kill Albion. Someone she really loved.

Albion: Yeah Ellie.

Albion just kept on making fun of Veldris. Not feeling at all bad as this old man had it a long time coming.

Veldris: WHY DO YOU TAKE A COMMONER AS A DISCIPLE?! AND LET HIM INTO YOUR HOME! AND THOSE KISS MARKS!

Sylvia: Ellie how many times have I had to tell you? Even if you're a noble you are not above other humans. And I let him into my home because he's my boyfriend.

Veldris: BUT I ASKED YOU TO DATE ME YEARS AGO!

Sylvia: And I said no because you treat people like they are below you, your lifespan isn't nearly as long as mine and you treat me like your personal item. You used to be so nice before you became better at magic. I remembered you as a kind young boy.

Veldris: I'M AN ARCH MAGE! AND I'M YOUR FIRST! HOW CAN YOU TREAT YOUR FIRST DISCIPLE LIKE THIS?! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE MINE! YOUR NEXT DISCIPLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE KIDS I PUT IN YOU! YOU SHOULD HAVE QUIT BEING A TEACHER AND COME AROUND! I ONLY LET YOU STAY AS A TEACHER BECAUSE YOU WERE GOOD AT IT AND I WANTED YOU CLOSE TO ME! YOU LEAD ME ON YOU FILTHY COMMONER! {ALL YOU ARE IS A STRONG SOW TO CONTINUE MY FAMILY LINE! THIS COMMONER, THIS COMMONER DOESN'T DESERVE YOUR STRONGER GENES! EVEN IF YOU'RE IN THE SAME SOCIAL CLASS YOU ARE MINE!}

Both Albion and Sylvia looked at Veldris. Disturbed by the old man's ranting. Both of them… found it disgusting. Sylvia's slowly lost the image of what Veldris used to be. A kind young boy who had a passion for magic and the amazing marvels it created.

Sylvia: How? How did I lead you on?

Veldris: This house! YOU ACCEPTED THIS HOUSE! I PAY YOU!

Albion: She's a teacher at your school? Why wouldn't you pay her?

Veldris: BECAUSE SHE'S MINE!

Sylvia looked at Veldris as she saw his contorted face. For some reason, right now. She had never felt this way before. In complete disgust of another person.

Sylvia: Fine.

Veldris: Really…

Sylvia: You can have the place back and the job. Albion please go get your stuff. We're leaving.

Albion looked at Sylvia and he didn't argue. Sylvia looked angry. And after seeing her status he sure as hell wasn't going to try and mess with her. Going to their room where all his stuff was.

Veldris: You… you can't be serious! You love teaching and you don't have any money for another place!

Sylvia: Actually, I do have enough money. For a place the same size. Even bigger if I wanted. But I don't. I just want my own place for me and Albion. And teaching. I'll find another school. I'm sure people will want me when I tell them I'm an Arch Mage. One of a few not officially recognised in this country.

Sylvia while extremely well known in the magic community, she wasn't recognised by the kingdom. Only four were officially recognised and one was Veldris. Sylvia stood up and began to walk away.

Veldris: {NO! I… I CAN'T LOSE HER! She's… SHE'S MINE!} Wait… WAIT! Forgive me! You can keep your job! I'll even raise your salary. You can keep the place!

Sylvia: I don't want the place.

Veldris: THEN I'LL GIVE YOU WHATEVER YOU WANT! I'LL CHANGE! PLEASE… PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!

Sylvia stopped at those words. Turning around to look at Veldris who was in tears crying on the ground. A sight Sylvia saw as disgusting and she hated that she saw Veldris, her first disciple as that.

Sylvia: You'll change?

But Sylvia didn't want to see Veldris reduced to this state. In fact, it hurt her. Her first disciple, someone she had known for so long. Someone who grew up but as he grew became more and more twisted. Looking at him… she couldn't help but feel as if she failed him.

Veldris: YES I PROMISE!

Sylvia: {I need to make it clear. I'll never date him.} Then I want a pay increase. Not massively. Only to what the other teachers are being paid. And I want you to treat Albion better. I'm with Albion. I love him.

Veldris: YES YES! Please.

Veldris pleaded still on the floor.

Sylvia: Ok. But I'm still moving. You can keep the place.

Sylvia walked away. Albion was changed and his face wiped off the kiss marks. Albion carrying his stuff as it disappeared in a Spacial void. Both leaving the house.

Veldris: {I'll… I'll change. I'll be perfect for you. Or age won't be a problem. I'll… I'll be someone you can love. I'll make sure you realise… your love for me.}
