AWAKENING OF WRATH

AWAKENING OF WRATH

"After capturing Kublok's army, we counted the units he had and replaced them with our demons, but wearing the armor and flag of the Western King. You would never expect your entire expeditionary force was changed to our men", I explained further.

"No wonder, even you took on Kublok's face. How can we tell the difference? We have no experience against this kind of deception in battle," Anazek asked and understood now the reason for his failure.

"Your army have rested for far too long without a need to fight. It is reasonable that you have no fighting experience. Worry not, we will teach you", Lord Brathnok told King Anazek and patted his back.

"Now what shall we do with this Great Pool?" Alfred asked us with a cheeky smile.

"Display your persuasive charm", Eirot told him.

Alfred, the multi-headed wolf, incarnate of the guardians of the pools of suffering, dived into the Great Pool of the West while Eirot rose into the air with her arms opened and a Crucifix of Damnation opened behind her.

After a brief moment, Alfred returned from the pool and said, "It is done", as he held a glowing magma core in his hands before he added, "The Greater Core of Suffering".

Soon, the Greater Core and all the water in the pool rose into the air before they were quickly absorbed by the Unholy Grail in Eirot's Fountain of Salvation.

"You didn't add another head", I commented to Alfred about his transformation or lack of it.

"I stopped adding new heads on the count of six", he replied to me.

Suddenly, to our surprise, Alfred's six heads combined into one again. He lost his multiple heads.

"What happened to you?" Eirot asked Alfred.

"I have evolved", he replied to her.

Alfred's body grew to double his usual size and even his fur turned into golden red while his eyes glowed with an eerie flame. Once he had shown off his new body, he transformed back into a snow-white wolf cub and leapt of Eirot's shoulders.

"What have you become?" I asked Alfred.

"I really don't know yet, but I am changing every time we take a new pool of suffering", he replied to us.

"Well, brace yourself. You have work to do. There are many pools in the west region that we should take before we move on to the other regions", I told them.

"That would not be necessary. Once I took the Great Pool of the West, all the pools of suffering in the region would be considered taken as well. We can move to the other regions", Eirot told me.

"Great, back to the drawing board again", I said to them.

"There is something that I must tell you", King Anazek said to us.

"What is it, Anazek?" Eirot asked him.

"Before we decided to send an expedition south, an envoy from the King of the North came to persuade us. The kings of the regions are usually wary of each other, and we would not weaken our fortress' strength by going out to fight and give the other kings an opportunity to strike us. So naturally, we would resist an offer of a joint expedition south", King Anazek told us.

"But you finally agreed to the expedition, why?" Aluva asked him.

"The envoy, that woman. She offered great power to all the three kings. With this power, we do not need to be afraid of each other and we were tempted by her offer. We were also suffering from the loss of pools from the insurrection, her suggestion also makes sense for us to stop the insurrection", he told us.

"What kind of power did she offer to you?" I asked him.

"You must see it for yourself and bring the Anti-Saint with you", he replied to us.

Hidden deep within the bowels of Fortress Gunungo lay a secret prison, concealed in a chamber far from prying eyes.

Inside, a lone prisoner was held captive, bound by indestructible chains and surrounded by a complex web of magic that kept her powers suppressed.

As we neared, the prisoner's reaction was immediate.

"Rawwrrrrrrr"

She cried out, a guttural roar—echoing through the chamber.

There was no hint of sophistication or reason in her. Her mind was like that of a wild beast, consumed by rage. Her eyes, burning with a literal fire, glowed with an intensity that matched the fury within her.

The closer we got, the more her wrath surged.

Her entire body ignited, flames engulfing her until she stood like a living pyre. Even her head blazed, a corona of fire streaking upwards like the tail of a comet.

She was no ordinary prisoner—this woman was Wrath incarnate, a being of pure, untamed fury.

"Damn, how did you find the awakened Wrath?" Ratatouille asked King Anazek.

"Awakened Wrath? What do you mean?" I asked Ratatouille as he pointed at the woman.

"Isn't Chash Wrath? Why is there another Wrath here?" I asked.

Our friend Chash received the immortal essence of the Anti-Saint Wrath and gained his powers. He was now recuperating in the Realm of Life, preparing for a resurrection.

"I don't know but this is the real deal. Chash isn't the real Wrath, he only received some of his powers due to taking the dead wrath's immortal essence. This is an awakened and living Anti-Saint. Wrath", Ratatouille told us.

"Is she stronger than you?" Eirot asked Ratatouille.

"Sure, once she recovers her magic fully. I am merely a resurrected golem, but she is the resurrected Anti-Saint, the equivalent of lesser angels", Ratatouille told us.

"No wonder the envoy said with this woman you will not be afraid of the other kings", I said to Anazek.

"The woman helped us awaken this Anti-Saint and taught us how to feed her magic, but she didn't show us how to control her. This Anti-Saint don't respond to us otherwise we would have called her into battle earlier if we could", Anazek told us.

"This is power that can be obtained but not used", Alfred commented.

"You cannot control Wrath. Of all the Anti-Saints she is the hardest to tame", Ratatouille said to the king.

"How do we tame this Wrath?" Rinna asked him.
