The policeman closed in the distance even more.
"This is my last warning. Lay on the ground and put your hands on your back. Failing to do so will force me to implement drastic measures."
I stared into the policeman's eyes, and it didn't seem like he was lying. Yuki had mentioned the lack of regulation in law enforcement on the lower floors meaning if the policeman was planning on breaking the rules, no one was going to stop him from doing so, socially against me, which would be discovered as an identity theft. The only wise thing to do was to follow along his instructions for now, without giving him reason to exert authority.
"Ok."
I slowly lay on the ground and put my hands behind my back. The entire weight of my body pressed down upon places of my ribs, and I felt incredibly uncomfortable.
"How do you plan to proceed, officer?"
"Shut up."
The policemen began searching through my pockets.
