Harper was making an ambitiously expansive game, a new type of game with more options than the basic hack-and-slash, where exploration and cleverness were a legitimate course of action, not an extra-hard mode. But he died before he could complete his project. Only to be reborn in that world, as a normal person. Now he is in the world that he created and realizes that he knows things no one else knows, secrets only he knows. Harper sets off to find some of these secrets, wanting to make sure that he has the power to ensure that his world remains pure, that no one will have the power to ruin it like other games. And if the only way to do that is for him to get himself enough magic and mystical artifacts that he can determine the future of the world, then so be it. It wouldn’t be conquest if it was for a good cause. Right?

So there are a total of eight of us, but only seven shares. We get two of them. There are twelve items, and I argue that we should get four of the twelve. Orion agrees, making me more convinced that I screwed up the deal on the first floor.


Unfortunately, he also insists that we pick last each time around. So everyone else picks one item before each of us. The other four items will go three to them and one to us. So we pick sixth, seventh, eighth, and last.


Not surprisingly, we dont get the good stuff. Petra ends up with the greatsword, which is pretty awesome. But the Darksteel broadsword goes to Collin, the Butchers Hatchet goes to Arnold, and the Dragonslayer bow goes to Danton. I do manage to get the Ring of Charisma, and Daniel gets the Bracers of the Assassin, but Orion gets the necklace of Ensorcellment and Arnold gets the gloves. The other rings are claimed pretty quickly, and our last choice is the cloak.
