Chapter 27: Spending My Money

“How do you know these things?” Daniel asks. “And don’t try to tell me that it’s a Bard thing. You’re not the first bard I’ve ever met. So don’t tell me that there are legends that give you these exact locations.”

“None of them are exact,” I say. “Like, I don’t think we could go to this exact location and find what I’m looking for. But these are pretty close to where they should be.”

“But how do you know?” Daniel asks. “What is the source of your knowledge?”

“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you,” I say.

“Try me.”

I sigh. Is he going to accept that I’m the creator of this world? That I was the lead designer on the project and had final approval on the map? Do I need to tell him that this one in front of us is one of the earlier versions and that there are some minor differences between this map and the actual world?
