Harper was making an ambitiously expansive game, a new type of game with more options than the basic hack-and-slash, where exploration and cleverness were a legitimate course of action, not an extra-hard mode. But he died before he could complete his project. Only to be reborn in that world, as a normal person. Now he is in the world that he created and realizes that he knows things no one else knows, secrets only he knows. Harper sets off to find some of these secrets, wanting to make sure that he has the power to ensure that his world remains pure, that no one will have the power to ruin it like other games. And if the only way to do that is for him to get himself enough magic and mystical artifacts that he can determine the future of the world, then so be it. It wouldn’t be conquest if it was for a good cause. Right?

On the other side of the tunnel, we see sunlight. Though we are underground, there is a hole at the top of the cavern that is open to the sky. I think its called an oculus. Someone flying overhead would be able to see the city without much difficulty, but from the outside, it probably looks like a mountain. 


At least we have another way out, I say, not really thinking about the amount of climbing it would take to get out of here. 


Theres a waterfall that flows from the top of the cavern down into the middle of the city, falling maybe two hundred feet through open air, giving a very peaceful subdued roar to the ambient sound of the city. The waterfall ends in a lake at more or less the center of the city. Its easy to see how this place started out as being built on the shores of the lake, and spread gradually outward to fill up the area.
