Chapter 46

"The snake I take care of has to live in such an environment other it would die", uncle Mo said as he looked around the place before looking at Ming Chen. 

"Uncle Mo I thought you said the snake was stolen", Ming Chen asked prying an answer. 

"Of course I lied. Two random people come to my door and ask about my precious snake, of course I need to protect my baby", the old man said in frustration.

"But when I saw you leaving, I realised that you were the man grandchild so I can tell you". Uncle Mo said affectionately. Although he looked like an angry, he was very sweet on the inside. He just has a hard time expressing his feelings. 

"Uncle Mo, the reason we came was because your snake's poison was found in the blood of two people I know. One is fine as he only had a small about but the other one is a child is unable to eat anything at all, as the days go by he is getting skinner and skinner. I hope that uncle Mo can help me". Ming Chen said kneeling down. 

Uncle Mo was surprised not because Ming Chen was kneeling but because there is mud and moss everywhere but he didn't care and still kneeled anyway. 

"Aiyo, get up little Ming, of course uncle Mo will help up. Actually the snake was truly stolen but it was returned back the next day so I didn't say much, but when I was checking in it I could see a little scratch on it teeth as if someone had forced my baby to release poison. So I naturally make a cure. Wait let me get it for you", uncle Mo said as he turned around and left for the inner room. 

Ming Chen didn't follow him as he wasn't sure how many snakes this uncle of his had and he couldn't risk the chance of getting bitten by it. Soon uncle Mo came back with two small vials of liquid and handed it to Ming Chen. 

"you said two people got poisoned right, give this to them, if there is still poison in their system came back and uncle will give you more", uncle Mo said as he patted Ming Chen's head. 

"Actually uncle can you give me one more so that I can check with third uncle", Ming Chen asked, he then realised that his words sounded as though he didn't trust uncle Mo. He panicked and tried to explain himself.

"Hhhah, don't worry young Ming, uncle understand why, let third Ming check with the sample and then give it to the child", Ming Chen signed of relief that uncle Mo didn't misunderstand him. 

The pair of uncle and nephew chatted for a little while longer until it was getting dark. Ming Chen bid uncle Mo goodbye and promised to visit when he is free from work.

Once Ming Chen called the taxi, the first thing he did was go to his third uncle and check the sample with the cure and once they saw that the poison got dispelled after using the cure, Ming Chen thank his uncle and headed to the hospital where Ye Xiaojan was still staying.

Ming Chen knocked on the door and it was Ms Fang who had opened the door. She looked exhausted, which mother wouldn't be when their child couldn't not eat anything but drink water. 

"Dr Ming, what brings you where so late", Ms Fang asked, surprised to see Ming Chen. He would usually come in the morning and evening to check on Ye Xiaojan but this was a first that he came so late in the night. 

"I'm sorry for disturbing you Ms Fang but I got the cure to help Xiaojan and I wanted to give it to him as soon as it was checked", Ming Chen said happily, when Ms Fang heard this she could help but cry tears of joy. 

"Dr Ming, is what your saying true, can my little Xiao be cured", Ms Fang said holding Ming Chen's hand. He nodded and reassured her multiple time. Ye Xiaojan had already from the commotion by his bed. 

"Mother, whats wrong, did something happen?", Xiaojan asked as he rubbed his eyes. His mother quickly when by his side and hugged him as she cried.

"my poor baby you had to suffer for so long, Dr Ming had found a cure for you. You are going to be all better now", Ms Fang said as she hugged her son once again and cried. 

Ming Chen sterilized everything and injected the cure in Ye Xiaojan and told Ms Fangt that it will take a few hours for the effects to happen. Once Xiaojan went back to sleep, Ms Fang thanked Ming Chen once again and sent him off. 

Ming Chen called He Long and enquired about his whereabouts. He Long was still at work despite it already nearing 10 o'clock in the night. Ming Chen warned him not to work so late in the night and to immediately come to the hospital otherwise he wont even speak to him. Ming Chen said that and ended that call soon after, not letting He Long speak. 

It was unknow how he did it but He Long was able to reach the hospital within 15 minutes despite the journey to the hospital from his work place taking over an hour. He Long couldn't take the risk of Ming Chen never speaking to him ever again. He would rather die than let that happen. 

Once inside the hospital, He Long found Ming Chen chatting with the nurses, he felt a little jealous at first but then remembered that his man was all his and no one can steal him away from him.

"You called me here but you don't even acknowledge me", He Long asked as he walked towards Ming Chen who had just turned about. As Ming Chen turned around a kissed landed on his lips.

He was shocked and quickly turned around to see his colleagues ogling and smirking at them. Ming Chen quickly excused himself and pushed He Long into his office, despite it taking all his strength, they finally made it. 

"Do you have no shame, in front of my co-workers and while I'm at work too", Ming Chen puffed with his arms crossed. He Logn chuckled and went to hug Ming Chen who pushed him away. 

"Sit", Ming Chen ordered He Long, who obediently listened to his wife and sat down in the seat. Ming Chen worked quickly, he pulled off He Long's blazer. He Long thought of something dirty and was getting excited but Ming Chen shattered that. 

"Roll up your sleeves, I need to inject you", even though he was let down He Long still obediently did as his wife asked. Once everything was serialized, Ming Chen injected He Long and put everything away and sat down in his seat. 

"Your not gonna ask what I injected, I could have been posion",Ming Chen asked, all He Long did was laugh. 

"My love even if you inject with acid, as long as you are happy doing so I'm more than happy to comply", He Long said as he got up from his seat and lifted Ming Chen's hand and kissed his fingers. 

" I don't want to be a widow at such a young age", Ming Chen said as he pouted as He Long's sentence. 

"I will never leave you, I promise", He Long said as he kissed Ming Chen. Although Ming Chen knew there were something in the world that they cant control and He Long could leave this world at any time, the promise he made, reassured his heart. 

Ming Chen deepened the kiss and it before filled with love and passion. The two headed toward Ming Chen's place and stayed the night there. He Long wanted to make love with Ming Chen that night seeing how tired Ming Chen was He Long let him off that night and slept peacefully next to him. 

The next day when Chen Ming woke up, he could smell breakfast being made. He got up brushed his teeth and got dressed in some casual clothes as it was his day off. He left the room to see He Long setting up the table with breakfast for himself and Ming Chen. 

During breakfast, they talked about trying to find the person poisoned him and Ye Xiaojan, as well as how they can get revenge on the Ming family, but before they did that both Ming Chen and He Long visited Ye Xiaojan in the hospital to check up on his situation and when they visited him, they saw him eating porridge with chicken. It seemed that the cure had worked.
